:) I lkie jugs, too, but have a mere six of them, space constraints preclude hoarding more.

Well, my microwave has turned up its little electiconic toes in the past few minutes. Worked perfectly well last night when I nuked a spud, just tried it, it made the most horrendous racket and totally failed to cause heat in a food product - I was warming thru some crumble & custard.

I shall get it to the tip, either via pushbicycle/ trolley or via a pal's car, although I prefer to be self-sufficient. I could just fly-tip it by the bins, as many of my neighbours do likewise, but that would sit ill with me (plus be very professionally embarrasing if caught out by council colleagues).:rotfl:

This came from my late Nan's bungalow in Oct 2016 and is only the second microwave I've ever owned. The earlier one was a cast-off from a colleague at one workplace and ended up being given to a colleague at another workplace when I decided I needed the counterspace more than the appliance.

I will think carefully before I replace, to decide whether it is really necessary.

I'm coming to the conclusion that the insidious clutter is not the hotspots which annoy us on a daily basis but the things we have tidied away (out of sight, out of mind, and usually kept for our 'friend' Justin).

I cut my hair short over a year ago and yet still possess a ridiculous number of decorative hair bobbles and brushes which I can no longer use and never used when I had longer hair anyway. Madness!

The 2 things a day plan is still working well, it is much more manageable than the MINS game and still maintains a steady outward flow.

omg, I did not "hear" that in your posts, kittie! Aigburth here :j and Otterspool Promenade :j

Down here in SE England, however :o , snow is melting from yesterday. And my house is still consumed with my half of my mother's patchwork and material stash. As well as individual completed items, there's a lot of halfdone bits and bobs - I definitely need to put them together to make up a throw or something similar.

Well I kondoed a week due to illness - feel like I have been away for a month:o Everything that I planned last week has now collided into this week................and I missed the snow.........I love snow:D

Anyway doc signed me off work until later in the week so, heeding advice to have as some rest, I will still do some gentle kondoing - not the ambitious clear out I had planned though - never mind!

Hope you are well and truly on the mend, Igamogam - definitely take it easy, though x

DD has gone back to uni tonight - taking some pantry, fridge and freezer contents with her - sort of KMing my food supplies for me :D

Dressing up box sorted out - 1 scraggy item, some random small bits binned, 2 toy torches with corroded batteries gone. Several complete outfits which are now too small (or too scary for DS3 when it comes to Hallowe'en) have been washed and put aside for selling at next NNS. :T

All clear in our little corner of Kent. Used the snowy days to go through cupboards and make a list of what was needed to keep stocks up whilst DH was decorating.

next room to decorate will be living room, am constamtly reviewing books, cds etc and taking them to CS.

Hope all are safe and well

Fascinating, carrie! I don't have many rellies actually in Liverpool any more, so the first time I heard of people moving **to** Liverpool (as opposed to migrants and sailors just ending up there) was about ten years ago. And my first thought when I read your post was "ooh, how lucky!" It wouldn't suit me to move cities nowadays, but I do love going back.

I see from F@cebook that the real commercialisation of MK has started.

Now she has added a joint venture with a company selling leather boxes (for jewellery/ komono etc), to courses for would be affiliates, Netflix progs etc.

It is very understandable but it makes me sad. Only keeping the things that spark joy, seemed a rather "pure" concept somehow.

    agreed

I so want to do some more in my wardrobe but will have to wear trousers and socks to do it. My skirt and tights were too restrictive yesterday, scholl light legs. I think I may pack stuff away in sets to wear and that includes tidier housewear. I have gone back to wearing very light jumpers with a light silk vest. I notice that some are acrylic with a small wool percentage, so they won`t last long anyway. I am trying to imagine how on earth I would ever get myself into a smaller property, next but one. I have enough time to wear stuff out and not replace, got to look on the bright side and at least I have given myself plenty of notice

I looked into my much compacted nightie space last night and am pleased. Two winter nighties and 3 summer nighties, good I can manage that, knowing that I will make any new replacement nightie from my fabric stash.

Row was had in our house yesterday when OH's new nose hair trimmer arrived to replace previous one which broke. He proudly told me this was the number one rated item........... it came with a whole load of 'attachments' for trimming sideburns and goodness knows what. None of which he would actually use. He had a strop when I had a strop about this extra clut and said he'd send it back, but I doubt he will.

So that's another load of crap we'll have to store, in the package it came in, as there's nothing like a bag included to keep all the dross in. Believe me when I say it won't be here by the end of the year.......
