Don't you just love scammers........ I had one on Friday attempting to get me to send nearly £10K to a bank account for the work of a supposed new contractor in my business. Seeing they'd faked an email address for my company secretary (OH) using his first name which he doesn't call himself, even in my sleep I knew it was fake, plus I'm sure I'd have noticed an expensive contractor in my business.

This morning I've had another one come in. Supposedly from myself !! for a new contractor. I think I'll have a little fun with this. I've just replied back to say I've had the contractor in the office complaining about the late payment and have said I'll sort it as soon as I can.............. We'll see what happens next!

Ooh Slinky - do keep us updated - I just love it when scammers are sussed and someone strings them along - who was it who had a conversation about the 'Gary' towel?? Hilarious!

I'm curious about this scammer, it's obviously from the same source as the one on Friday as the email wording is identical apart from the bank details. Having done a search on the sort codes, neither of them are valid sort codes........... so what's the point? They've had to skim data from Companies House to get our names, yet we don't appear to be able to pay them!

could it be to make other people think they are paying you but in reality they arethe ones being scammed. Those sort of scams scare the life out of me. Perhaps the scammers are sending messages to check that their scam is live.

I did a wee bit of kondo in the wardrobe, put a long skirt out as it always felt `dowdy` and put three outfits together, skirts and thin jumpers, ready to pick out and wear. I want to do t shirts and the like as they take up a whole drawer but am sitting on hands, don`t want to regret putting stuff out, best if I wait for the right season

I have just been listening to the weather guru who reckons the snow could be back by the 17 of this month for about five days.

Thought I had better share this as he has a good track record.

OK, now these things often run in threes, so in an 8 hour period yesterday my microwave died (only twenty years old, how very dare it!) and then my watch battery karked it just before midnight.

I am now re-batteried for the princely sum of £4 and wondering what else is about to happen.......... watch this space.

Errrr, if I disappear off the t'interweb, you'll know it was the pooter turning up its toes.

Oh, I did return a borrowed book but, since I took two out of the library, I'm still not ahead on the dead tree front.:rotfl:

I've been painting the stairs and landing, I thought I'd need some sort of ladder to reach the far corner over the stairs, but I've managed with a long handled roller, and a paintbrush taped to the end of another pole. Still another coat to do ,though I'm impressed how good the coverage was,
By which time the paint will have been kondoed, it's s huge tub of trade emulsion :A
I'm really pleased with myself I've always done the painting ,but not ceiling which I've done 3 of now. This job has been needing doing for ages I'll be glad to get it finished.
Wish I could kondo the bad back and sore arm though.:o

Gosh, I hope not, want to be planting potatoes about the third week in March!

Just been told by a neighbour that someone's flytipped a microwave by the communal bins near my flat. Assure her that mine is still sitting on my kitchen counter............ !:rotfl:
