    Granola:
Mix some honey with some oil (any oil but olive) (heat up a little bit in the microwave to mix more easily)
Add several handfuls of cheapest muesli until all muesli is coated. The thicker the coating, the sweeter and clumpier the result will be.
Bake in single layer in the oven, about 15 minutes on medium heat. Stir halfway through.
Cool, add raisins and/or nuts. Keeps well for about two weeks.

Bag of rags to the charity shop along with a couple of books, a water pistol (bought to scare off a cat that was chasing ours) and a pair of my late father's shoes. Didn't know we had the shoes, found them in the bottom of a cupboard when clearing out my OH's office. Plenty of wear in them still, hopefully they'll do somebody a good turn. Thanked them and let them go.

I bought a lovely new teapot from a CS on Monday, but 2 less loved and no longer needed ones put into the CS bag.

I needed an easy job while having put a face mask on this morning for 15 minutes or so, went through the suitcase of summer clothes and 2 bags now ready for CS, one will go tomorrow, the other in a few weeks when I go to CS I support in a nearby town.

Thanks for this recipe. Does it work with golden syrup as I haven't any honey but have everything else?

I haven't tried it with golden syrup, but I would assume it would work. You jus5 need some sweet liquid to stick everything together.

Will give it a go. I suppose the birds will eat it if it doesn't work.

Even if it doesn't clump together it sounds like it would be nice on greek yogurt - worst case scenario you could turn it into flapjack/ breakfast bars with butter, a mashed overripe banana and some more syrup! :D

Oh no Kboss - can it be sorted OK ? It's stressful enough without a 'professional' making C ups :(
Is anyone on here getting a bit picky about which charity shops they use? The bigger ones in my area seem to have gone 'upmarket' and the prices have gone the same way. I wonder how much actually reaches the charity. I've just found a new (to me) one that provides breaks for disabled people thereby giving carers a break. Clean, tidy and welcoming with realistic prices so my next bag (s) are going there.

I've always found that local charities (hospice, local initiatives) have more realistic prices than the big brand charity shops. I know they are out to maximise the income they can get, but when you can buy new clothes so cheaply in the likes of Primark (not that it's somewhere I'd go), charging the same for a used t-shirt seems somehow wrong.
