If it is still visible to people with moderation rights, some called board guides here and admin staff, as opposed to completely removed from the database (either option was possible when deleting) then it can be reinstated
Its been removed and will not be reinstated. I have had confirmation of this.
I have restarted the thread.

I just tried to access it and was gobsmacked to discover that it had disappeared......
Why?
Please put it back MSE!
To me the regular savings thread has been far and away the best thread on the whole savings and pensions forum, thanks to the efforts of Special_Saver2 in updating it and keeping discussion good humoured throughout, although there will always be attempts by a very small number of posters to disrupt things.
I can't envisage the thread not being reinstatedalthough I think a new thread is required with a link to the old thread so the first few posts with all the info are more visible to all
Edit: looks like the thread is back, thank goodness, but the link in the savings and investment sticky doesn't take you to itI came, I saw, I melted0 -

And is it a pure total or x in y time period? If its the former then that's a very risky IT build strategy for long running threads.
Any mods/forum helpers know this?0 -

Replacement thread is up with a link if you scroll up to my post where I put the link. The old thread is not viewable to all so I have copied over the first page of the thread from 2008.
I have update the link in the Sticky which now takes you to the replacement thread.
