To me the regular savings thread has been far and away the best thread on the whole savings and pensions forum, thanks to the efforts of Special_Saver2 in updating it and keeping discussion good humoured throughout, although there will always be attempts by a very small number of posters to disrupt things.

I can't envisage the thread not being reinstated although I think a new thread is required with a link to the old thread so the first few posts with all the info are more visible to all

Edit: looks like the thread is back, thank goodness, but the link in the savings and investment sticky doesn't take you to it

Replacement thread is up with a link if you scroll up to my post where I put the link. The old thread is not viewable to all so I have copied over the first page of the thread from 2008.

I have update the link in the Sticky which now takes you to the replacement thread.
