    Good morning everyone,
Hope the hangover goes quickly Wednesday ;)
Lovely sounding grub Farway - fancy sharing?:)

Back to rain today and there's gale force winds coming in this evening for 24 hours. Unfortunately the wind is from the South so my garden will get the full force, I'll rattle round in a bit and make sure everything is as secure as it can be and I'll move the courgettes off of the staging they're sitting on.
Annoyingly my "wonky donkey" has woke up overnight :( probably a combination of over doing the bending yesterday and weather change. It's not too bad and hopefully a gentle day will see it on it's way....
Gammon steak & nectarine worked pretty well, not quite as good as pineapple or peach but I'd have it again:). I've defrosted some diced turkey thigh that's been in the freezer for yonks. I'll stew it with leeks & mushrooms, pot veg and herbs and finish with mustard & cream. Some nuked steamed Jersey Royals should go nicely with it for dinner tonight. I reckon there will enough stew for two or three portions so it will be back to freezer tetris with the extras as they'll take up more space than the thigh did:cool:.
Like Farway I'm for a BLT for brunch, no nice HM bread here though!

If you were round the corner yes, luckily you're miles away:D
BLT was excellent in the also excellent fresh bread, and I found my first raspberry in the garden so that was pud, one lonely raspberry, but it was also excellent:j
Still in process of moving "stuff" from old PC to this new one, I've copied all the pictures to an external drive so I'll use that in future, at least I'll know where they are

Chicken out of oven & cooling, PN thanks for stuffing "recipe" I'll use that & report back, sounds easy enough
I'm nearly out of frozen chips, but I've some frozen hash browns so will have a couple of them with my chicken salad

Hi everyone, I hope you've all had pleasant weekends?

My weekend over in Shropshire went well. We had perfect weather for the village fete on Saturday. A bit overcast, but lovely and warm. Perfect weather for being outdoors all day really.

Mum did us steak for lunch today, which was very nice. I don't often do steak, as they're so expensive, but it was a nice treat! Currently debating what (if anything) to have for my tea... Honestly, not hungry at the moment (had a coffee and biscuits when I got home), so I'll see how I feel as the evening progresses.

I'll have to do a food shop tomorrow after work, as very little in the house worth eating!

Just a few, but I suppose it's the thought that counts :rotfl::rotfl:
Sounds like a lovely weekend with your Mum flubberyzing, if she's anything like me she'll enjoy spoiling her "bairn" as much as you like the treat. I know I love being able to spoil, in little ways, my boys even though they are grown men on good wages.:D
The rain did dry up and there were brief spells of sunshine but now the sky is like lead, the wind is building and the air feels clammy so definitely a storm on it's way. I've popped the courgettes in the greenhouse out of the wind and taken down a couple of exposed hanging baskets. I'm afraid the peas & beans will just need to take their chances.....
BLT got shelved at lunchtime as I got side tracked (spending money:o) and cba waiting for the bacon to cook so had brie & carmelised onion chutney on toast with cucumber sticks and baby tomatoes on the side instead.
My sister isn't long away after popping by for a natter and a cuppa, I now need to finish chopping the veg for dinner that I just started prepping when she arrived if I want to have the turkey dish tonight (which I do). Thankfully it shouldn't take that long to cook on the stove once I'm organised.

"Wonky donkey" is still lurking in the side lines so an early night for me I think, I hope the wind isn't too noisy!

I tried the weed burner briefly last night, it doesn't have a long cable and I cba to get the extension out, the weeds I blasted last night are dying it will be interesting to see if and when they grow back  it took a few minutes to cool down.

I went around to an ex neighbour to look at her LPA forms again :wall: :wall: I've left them completed with her she needs to sign and get witnessed and a person to sign as certificate etc and then return to me so I can get my signature witness. It wouldn't have been so bad if she wasn't chatting about anything and everything when I was doing it. Payment was lunch :D smoked salmon and avocado starter, lamb steaks with new potatoes and veg, could have done with a bit of gravy but I was too polite to mention :) followed by apple crumble. I beat her at canasta afterwards :D not bad after a couple of glasses of red, but probably because she had three quarters of the bottle. :rotfl:

It was definitely a lot chillier when I walked back at 3pm but nicer weather to garden in. A three course lunch means I'm not hungry so no dinner required, maybe a bowl of cereal if I feel peckish

I could live with a bit of chat after a lunch like that, even if the gravy was awol:rotfl:

Fingers crossed the weeds are ex-weeds;).

The lunch was worth the earache :D but I needed a little hush when trying to form fill :). We've known each other for nearly 30 years but she still doesn't get that I have no interest in tennis and it seems it's the French open  I didn't mind it on in the background but [STRIKE]didn't want[/STRIKE] couldn't dissect the match or how Tsitsipas was playing

The last tennis I watched was the summer of 1981.....
Mind you it was the year McEnroe beat Bjorg and we had just finished our "O" Grades (GCSES) so plenty of time to kill:). It was also the summer my friend got stuck at the top of a local cliff trying to do a spot of discreet topless sunbathing not so much media coverage as the tennis but enough locally that I'm surprised her Mother ever spoke to her again:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

1981 was probably the last match I watched as well, I'm not convinced more recent players (if you call the last 30 + years recent :D) have the same character as the likes of McEnroe and Connors :)

I didn't think you had enough sun up there for topless sunbathing :rotfl::rotfl: and what about the midgets
