Since I've do e nothing all day, I'll need to be up early tomorrow to do it all....
And, if nothing else, at least you have more hours in the day to continue to put it all off :)

"..........Yes, I remember that too, in the 80s.:D

I was think more of the 70s but I'll take the 80s :rotfl:

Glad to see the stove is worth the dusting Caronc :). Can you make toast on this type of stove?

I'm kind of still working we were told it was just a slight glitch three and a half hours ago to a minor system  once fixed we have to confirm it works ok which will probably take 5 minutes so I've been half watching TV and half checking my laptop. The day started bad when I realised I had left my laptop charger at work :( so I worked from home 7-9.30am than went to work until 1pm before coming back home again to carry on working. Really annoying as it was a waste of time and petrol for 25 miles

CFO hasn't been good today, I've been disorganised. A late lunch was cheese and crackers I then picked most of the afternoon mainly savoury. I should have taken a HM RM from the freezer for dinner but didn't, I couldn't cook probably so ended up with some spinach, feta, pinenut filo triangles from the freezer (Caronc I'm sure with your Greek connections you'll know what they're called? My brain has stopped working :D)

Edit - :j:j finished work, only over run by 4 hours  I think I'm going to be busy next month when someone needed to work Saturday ;)

I've been going through a really bad episode of anxiety recently, so am struggling with food, but can manage a bit of soup ;)

Sorry you're not doing so well Candy <hugs> I think you've got the right idea with soup, it doesn't take too much time or effort to make or eat and it's ensuring you're eating something, I know you put a lot of veg in them which is healthy :)

I'm not - you've given me a notion for soup for lunch. Thinks - I am off to the supermarket this morning - hmm...

Maybe I could do myself a soup for lunch - and try out that idea of a bit of leftover cooked grain in it to make it more substantial. I know - first cook your grain in order to have that leftover cooked grain...:rotfl:

    ********

Is there a particular obvious reason for the anxiety - or is it generalised freefloating variety of it?

Caron, nice to hear the stove is doing well, how about the "morning after" now? cold ashes to clear or can you just bung another log on?

Yesterday turned into a very CBA food day, everything, except porridge, was between two slices of bread:o Spent the afternoon binge watching Bramwell:).
The only bit of effort was prepping a rump steak in marinade for Sunday

It hammered down in the evening, but today is bright & windy, breakfast of porridge again, sampled my rose flavoured HM yoghurt but unsure about it, not heavy flavour, it's in there, not unpleasant but at this stage not sure it's got any advantage over the bog standard brew

The new freezer is on fast, freezing down the 4 remaining rump steaks, plus one container of the HM SC stew

Lunch will be a cheeses & salady sarnie
Dinner destined to be marinated rump steak, frozen chips & salad

I think I "need" some fresh green veg after the last few days of CBA food

I've spotted W/rose have offer of frozen LM veg "beef roast", 500g, £2.50. I may just get one just in case for XCFO if any left when I go in there. I've always found the LM food OK

    Good morning everyone,
    Spanakoptia Brambling?
Thankfully not much mucking out Farway, if I only burn wood the ash should only need taking out once a week or so.:)
Soup sounds lush Candy and I find both the making and the eating comforting so hope it helps <<hug>>
I got up for the loo around 3am and despite it being a cold night the house still felt reasonably warm. Not bad considering the CH had been off since 8pm ish and I last added wood to the stove around the same time:),
Bright but cold here this morning and to dip to freezing tonight. I want to get a mini log store set up on my deck so I've got a stash near the house if we get snow/ice, I'm going to make the most of the sunshine and make a start on that:).
I made far too much pasta last night. Too much by way of LOs for lunch but not enough for a main meal. I've a cooked turkey mince patty in the freezer which I'll defrost and chop through it to pad it out a bit. No breakfast as I fancy a cooked brunch probably bacon, egg and tomato.
