Yesterday morning I had a belly ache for an hour or so, which then passed... This morning I had the same thing, between about 8am and 10am, which then went. Not sure what that's about... But been rather off my usual rhythm of eating since Wednesday, which could be it. But I'm normally quite robust in terms of digestive workings... A mystery!
I took a Rennies, but that made no difference, so clearly not that... *shrug*
I had egg on toast for an early-ish lunch... I'm going to have another coffee and biscuits in a minute... I've got another new child starting tutoring this evening, at 6:30, so will probably have tea after I'm home from that. I was thinking goujons, mash and beans, but I'll see how I feel, and what I fancy.Because it's fun to have money!

Fellow poorlie here at the moment. I've just realised about it.
Slipped on wet floor and felt okay for some hours/walked into town on errands and then went to sit down comfortably.
Then it hit me my foot is being painful and I think (pretty sure) I've sprained it:mad:. It worries me to be ill at any time - and since I've moved here and seen what the Welsh bit of the NHS is like = triple that worry then...as I find the state of it in West Wales scary to say the least.
Off to haul out some painkillers from my medicine chest and I'm guessing a bit of Tiger Balm on it might be a good idea...0 -
Try ice on it, Money. & Resting it. ESP if it's inflamed.
Sounds like everyone has had a wet day.
It rained for about 10 mins on my walk home. It actually felt a bit Christmas-y being dark & the glowing brake lights of the queueing cars shining ...
Lunch was a boiled egg & mayo sandwich - I forgot to put some black pepper on it, so a bit plain. Same for tomorrow's pack up with 2 chic malted milks & a small packet of crisps. I was taking 4 biscuits, but that's too much sugar.
Tea was lazy - micro pizza done in oven with McCain french fries with mayo, ketchup & brown sauce over them. It's so long since I had a "junk food" tea...
After reading about all the scotch eggs, I'm gonna try make some myself. Once I've got through food I've already got in. I bought a bag of frozen Richmond sausages from T on offer (I like them for brekkie sausage sandwiches) & they won't really do for making scotch eggs so it'll be on my future to do list.0 -
Good evening everyone
<<hugs>> to the poorlies
I find these days flubberyzing that a few days of not eating as I normally do leaves me prone to a bloating etc. I'm a girl that defintely needs her fibre;)
Money- get that ankle elevated & iced. Sprains can be horribly painful if not given tlc.
The Seasalt dress arrived today and I just love it. It's very casual and very "me":D. It will be getting worn on Christmas Day - lots of room for a turkey dinner tummy:cool:.
Mushroomy pasta thingy planned for dinner has translated into a pan of brown lentil and mushroom ragu which is simmering away and smelling gorgeous. A good use up of the slowly composting mushrooms, 1/2 a huge carrot and 1/2 a pepper that were LO from my lunchtime salad. There's celery, garlic & onion in there too as well as lentils, a splosh of vermouth, oregano and a bag of HM passatta I'm not sure if I'll have it with pasta or just some toasted pitta to dunk. I'll decide when it's ready:). There will be spare for the freezer which is fine as I'm low on HM ready meals.
Despite my misgivings the scotch eggs were lovely:D though internally the eggs has morphed into a bit of an odd shape. I used to make these loads when the kids were at home but had fallen into buying them now I'm CFO and while the bought ones are ok they definitely don't taste as good. My Dad enjoyed his too and wants to know when I'm making them again:rotfl:0 -

Caronc glad the sea salt dress was successful, what colour? I would definitely check your house for a spy camera , your dad has an uncanny knack for visiting at the correct moment to leave with LOs :rotfl:
Money do as Novice and Caronc advise sprains can be very painful and slow to heal if you don't RICE it. Do you have a bandage to put on if it's painful
Horrid overhead thunder storm at the moment complete with torrential rain  hopefully this will be the last of the rain for a few days.
Food has been a repeat of yesterday except I had breakfast today and unfortunately no tea cake  I fear tomorrow will be the same as I have serious problems just CFO at the moment even after doing it for years :cool:Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
LOl Brambling I think he's just worked out that he includes a drop by via mine most days he's on a winner:rotfl:
The dress/tunic is black with a red/green small floral pattern. Winter colours but not festive as such IFYSWIM. Being a shortie it sits just below my knee which is a length I like. Enough room to pop layers under if needed but not so loose that a smartish cardi over wouldn't work.:)
Decided I really CBA cooking pasta so toasted pitta it is:)0 -

The dress/ tunic sounds nice festive colours without being too Christmassy, that's also a length I like I'm not comfortable with too short and maxi dresses are always way too long
I've been avoiding the Seasalt shop in town in fact I'm trying to avoid the cluster of shops which are Seasalt next to fat face and opposite white stuff until I lose a little more weight and they have a sale onLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -

Changed my mind again and had the ragu with pasta:)0 -
Yesterday ended up with:
Final bread roll filled with tomatoes.
Big cod fishcake, chips, peas.
Couple of chocolates and six chocolate finger biscuits.
Two crumpets with marg.
I took two bread rolls from the freezer and left them out to defrost, so this morning I've boiled an egg and made up two tomato/egg/salad cream sandwiches, wrapped them in foil and put into the fridge. I really find tomato sandwiches, wrapped to go soggy, then eaten when cold, much better than "fresh".... it's a childhood thing. Mum used to make plain tomato sandwiches, which she then put into Tupperware boxes and that'd be typical picnic food ... by the time we ate them, on a hot beach or alongside the local paddling pool, the tomatoes had soaked into the bread and I LOVE them like that...
I've grated a chunk of cheese and that's boxed in the fridge. Lunch will be one of the baking spuds I bought last week, topped with beans and cheese.
I have nearly a whole pint of milk to use up... today's date.... I've only used 80ml of it to make that b/b pudding .... and the rest has simply languished. *sighs* .... I COULD make a crustless quiche ... I've got cheese, onions, tomatoes .... herbs .... so stuff to go in it ... but can I be 4rsed? Probably not. I could make a smallish one ... in the SC so I can just forget it .... but to use up a whole pint or so would just be crustless quiche overload.... I'll think about it.0
