Love the sound of your lunch Brambling - I'm sure the "free" stuff didn't count calorie-wise:rotfl::rotfl:
I miss the "TGI" Friday feeling now I'm not working which I never thought I would:eek:.
Kitchen did get tidied up and dinner was a real "bung it in the oven" of fishcake, wedges and roast veg. Apart from "wedging" the spud no effort needed as the rest was in the freezer.:D

They must be calorie free as the very nice Partner in W*itrose told me they were :rotfl:

There's definitely a benefit from keeping a well stocked freezer especially if you have a selection of HM ready meals :)

Had a home made gfree pizza with spicy chicken and veg.
Then finished off the rice pud. Seeing it was Friday just had a galaxy bar with my cup of tea for supper!!:j

I can relate to this, although I only have the one freezer which is currently full :D I must avoid the YS shelves for a while :rotfl: although in my defence I have picked up some 'nice' YS food for when my sister comes up at the end of next month which is taking place

Woke early, still dark but couldn't get back to sleep, so got up anyway

Breakfast was usual porridge, banana, yoghurt & honey

Sun's out now, but nothing planned for the day, except read the gas meter. It's one long party here;)

    Good evening everyone,
I could happily eat pie & chips tonight but only have a pie that needs defrosting before cooking so should have thought of that sooner....

My Dad popped by bearing a gift of half a sourdough loaf from the lovely bakers........ Shame I haven't got an avocado in the fridge as hipster or not I do like a slice of toasted sourdough with mashed avocado, bacon and tomato on top as a treat.

I'm getting more convinced we must share DNA somewhere, I'd already decided on pie & chips today, using the LO £land pie. I've got half a tin of LO beans to complete the meal

However the food in my bold is just so wrong in so many ways on second thoughts we just cannot have any DNA links;)

The problem I have with freezing is never having the right size/shape of box. Takeaway boxes are WAY Too big; my local/good Chinese serve rice/noodles in a smaller (250ml) box - which is OK for some foods. But, this chicken peri/piri I just threw together really needs a "tiny box", just 2-3 tablespoons/portion sized... something 125-150ml would do it. They are made, but then I'm not prepared to pay the price - I could get 10 for about £3, but then there'd be P&P on top, which is £7 for the first supplier I found by googling. I want to see them in £land and pick them up/bring them home.

I usually end up lining a mug with a freezer bag and using the mug to hold the shape until it's frozen... but it's a faff and I'd rather things were "boxed" for tidiness and the ability to see what's there.

Just popping in quickly before I go out to town for a hair cut and then lunch with my sister, not sure where we will go as it's the wrong side of pay day for her :)

Happy Birthday Flubberyzing :bdaycake: hope you enjoyed your chips last night and have a good day today

Six degrees of separation and all that:rotfl::rotfl:(Though round here more than 2 is doing well;);))

My sister popped round for a cuppa & a catch up and then kindly dropped me off at the library. My word is it blowy near the shore front. Cold & grey here with, as I discovered, a baltic wind, I don't think I'll be going anywhere else today! No breakfast as I'm just off to cook bacon, egg, mushrooms and tomato to have with some of the lovely sourdough. That should keep me going for a bit.:D
