Just had a late breakfast/early lunch of half a bread roll, toasted, topped with some beans and cheese0

ooh elsien you were lucky and haven`t we all learnt. I cannot use the grill with the oven door open, fortunately I don`t have silicone anything but its a scary scenario. Just shows how a short circuit in fridge electrics can overheat the plastic back and cause a fire, so many things to be careful of
Lovely mouth satisfying lunch soon, 2 hm sausage rolls, swede and carrot mash, baked tomatoes and purple sprouting. Well needed after trying to get my own money out of the bank and having a cycle ride to get it out my system0 -
I poached two eggs for brekkie this morning but got an unexpected visitor before I cold eat them, so two very unappetising looking cold poached egg which I didn't fancy so popped them in the fridge.
Come lunchtime I went to the fridge for my boiled ham salad, two forlorn looking poached eggs needed rescuing so chopped them up and covered in mayonnaise. Very pleased with result, wont bother fiddling with peeling hard boiled eggs again as this was so much easier and tasted just the same.Slimming World at target0 -
Just reading through, seems couple of mishaps in CFO land, at least all turned out without harm
Bit dull earlier today, but at least rain has stopped
Pot of tea with overnight soaked porridge, I'm getting to like the overnight soaking method, with HM yoghurt, honey & sliced banana
Into mooch mode around town, greengrocer had some lovely cauli's for 70p, bought one "on spec" with images of brown & bubbling cauli cheese for dinner.
Lunch was the last of the YS pork pie & piccalilli, scoffed in sun warmed 70F conservatory. Wren is still busy nest making
Warmed up outside, plants, including the runners, are out hardening off & getting used to the fresh air
Just laundry to sort out, with the forecast I may postpone wash until Wednesday and get it out on the line in the sunshine
Dinner, could be cauli cheese, or could be freezer rummageEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
I fancy popping out for sausage rolls ... if I'm going to be entirely honest.0

I'd quite like a sausage roll myself too...Savings £8,865.22 £/15,000 Aiming to save enough for a house deposit.0

Dinner was cauli cheese as forecast, and it turned out as hoped for, all brown & bubbling. A successful kitchen operation, and not a burnt pan, smoke or flames in sight:D
I just had it on it's own because it looked, and was, very filling, with plenty left for another mealI have a confession to make i don't really like sausage rolls unless they're homemade and then I'm really fussy do I need to leave now
.
I fit into the same category, I try shop ones, they're OK but not really my taste, too peppery mostly.
And can I add a heresy? I prefer veggie ones made with sosmix? http://sosmix.com/
Not that I make them, but my veggie rellies do and they are far better IMO than shop meatish onesEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
You all know I went .... scoffed two0

Good evening everyone,
I'm "late on parade" today as a bit of a "literal" balance wobble earlier due I think to the storm coming in. Feel much steadier now thankfully.:)
Today would definitely seem to be my day for less than healthy food- no breakfast so was hungry at lunch time so scoffed a bacon & tomato roll followed by the LO profiterole pudding from last night. Dinner of sausage roll, beans, mushrooms and oven chips will be ready shortly:D. I do prefer HM sausage rolls but the last batch I made ended up in the freezer for the best part of a year:o as I don't often fancy one. Tonight's are Morrison's Cumberland snack ones which are on SO just now (6 x 66g for £1). Re veggie ones, I've not had one made with sosmix but have had them made with veggie haggis and also glamorgan sausages both of which were really good:).
Already meals for the week are getting shuffled about as I didn't start the moussaka for tomorrow today and I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow so won't want to do much afterwards. I'll make it later in the week.
I got a nice surprise in the post - "Santorini" tomato seeds from Greece from my son's gf's folks so I must get them potted tomorrow (and post the ones I'm sending them). The tomatoes and veggies seeds I planted 7-10 days ago are beginning to show signs of life so hopefully lots more will pop up over the next few days.
I think my younger son may be following in my footsteps re loving growing things. Despite having a garden the size of a (small) stamp (he's taller than than the length of his lawn:rotfl::rotfl:) he went off today with pots and a hanging basket he made up yesterday.
Our duck dinner last night was excellent, too faffy for me when CFO but nice to do for a change. :cool:0 -
I too prefer veggie 'sausage' rolls I've never heard of sosmix but my sister does make some lovely cheese, potato and onion ones.
Lunch was chicken salad with lots of little bits like artichoke hearts and stuffed cherry peppers I'm still eating what I brought for Sunday lunchlast of the chicken for tomorrow's lunch
Dinner was salmon, pasta and asparagus it needed a creamy element and annoyingly I only remembered I had some cream cheese I could have stirred in after I had finished it
Sorry to hear you're a little wonky donkey Caronc hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. Send me down a portion of moussaka please it's the one thing I really cba to make just for me and it's been years since I've made one. Unfortunately we no longer have a Greek restaurant in town so I can't get my fix.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0
