Cherry yoghurt and banana so far today.
I've had her Red Onion/Rosemary ones in the past when they were in L1dl for £1/pack ...they were really really nice ...but I've not tried her others and wouldn't at full price in case I didn't like them. :)

Oh yes, they are nice too.:)

I once drove home from work (approx. 12 miles) worrying about a slight but annoying rattling it turned out to be a sweet in my door pocket! luckily I noticed it as I got out of the car so didn't have to confess to anyone. To make it worst I had put it there in the morning.

:rotfl: Imagine if you had gone to a mechanic with that problem.

The Co-op in Kirkby Stephen was busy this morning - probably more to do with people knowing the town will be heaving tomorrow rather than bank holiday panic buying. Got myself some duck as a treat but also some decent sausages and mushrooms for plain old sandwiches tonight. Also came away with some chocolate fixes. This will be my biggest problem - rationing myself and making it all last over the weekend. :D
Got lots of DIY jobs to keep me out of mischief - unless I just sit here and eat chocolate of course.... ;)
Also the garden needs some TLC. The annual keeping up with the Jones's floral battle (with the post office lady next door) is underway....

    Good afternoon everyone,
The kids are all out, elder son & gf to catch up with friends and younger son to get a haircut and buy socks as he forgot to pack any.....
I'm enjoying my traditional Good Friday lunch of toasted hot cross buns with grilled cheese:D.
Mega grocery order has arrived and been put away so apart from some ironing I don't need to do anything as the kids are cooking dinner tonight before they head to the pub with my nephew.:)

I bought some GF pizza bases so I made a red onion, sweetcorn and pepper pizza just now. I was supposed to only eat half with a spinach salad but I ate the other half too.:D

    I made a cake :)
    A chocolate cake.
It's cooked, so just at the "cooling" stage.
It's a flat cake, I guess these days people'd call it brownies.
Isn't that what we say when our cakes don't rise?

good job I haven`t got any chocolate cake, it would all be gone by now and so would any sweets, if I could find any. Blooming miserable today, yellow warning down here for rain for 4 days and the ground is already sodden. Floods next but on the bright side, I am not on holiday, killing time during the day or trying to stay dry in a caravan or tent and worrying about how to get off the field to get home on monday

I watched halves of 2 films, tidied the kitchen, browsed on the laptop. I need to do something, maybe make two knitted covers for hot water bottles. I could read and count the hours to going to my nice warm comfortable bed :D

Pouring rain, I feel sorry for those who work all week, or worse went somewhere special for Easter

Roads were packed, they couldn't all have be going to the shops surely?

I had to meet someone, so lunch was early, a mid morning coffee & toasted tea cake

Mooched in 4sda, impulse buy of a YS rolled pork shoulder. I had planned a roast tomorrow, 'cos I'm out Sunday, so the pork will do for that, unless of course CBA and it turns into a sandwich

Kicking myself once home, I had also bought YS smoked haddock, but now I'm home I see it is BASA. I avoid basa, catfish farmed in appalling conditions. Stuck with it now:(

I'll guiltily eat it tonight, with chips & last of the LO beans

I must have had a premonition, I treated myself to a pack of 6 hot X buns whilst out. Now I know just what to do with them, maybe sample one post basa choking?

Pork is in the oven, BB is today, not taking chances with pork, or the blooming basa

Spot of gardening completed, tied my loo roll innards ready for bean sowing:)

They do say feed a cold, as long as you're keeping up your fluid levels as well. Hopefully it's just a spring cold and it won't last too long.

It's rained heavily all day and is forecasted to do so until next Friday :( with maybe a break Sunday. It's a shame as the town was full of people for an Easter Italian event I only went down to pick up my new glasses and the fast sporty cars were arriving and there was an Italian market. The local Italian restaurants had stalls too. Although it was a little unusual to see the church service in the band stand as the back drop for Ferrari cars and Italian flags. I followed a group from one of the churches into town carrying a cross.

Food wise I've been a bit picky today hot cross bun for breakfast, ham and Brie sandwich for lunch. No idea about dinner as I'm going out at 6.30pm so need to eat before then so probably easy food like HM chips with something or jacket potato. I must eat more veg tomorrow

I finished off the cake, which is what happens when you slice it into nibbley cube sizes :)

I then had a burger and chips.
