Today was also a good drying day 😁 i love being able to put the bedding back on the bed the same day as washing it, it smells a lot fresher 😁

I did some gardening today in a couple of stages until the body objected 🙄 otherwise it was just indoors chores and catching up on masterchef

Also a none cooking day for me, lunch was lamb and salad in a pita with a dollop of mint sauce,  dinner LO leek and mushroom risotto with the last of the smoked salmon chopped and stirred in with LO runner beans. Raspberries and Greek yogurt in a meringue nest for pud, I'm sure the raspberries taste better as they were half price YS from M&S 🙂

just going to sit and watch Grace now, by recording the start I can skip the ads, it's filmed in Brighton so just across the county line 🙂

  • Perfect drying weather here too, 4 loads today, simple pleasures!

Must be pot moving day, caronc - I’ve moved all of mine to a temporary location today in readiness for some landscaping work starting this week 🤞

I also had a massive tidy of and cleared out some stuff from the garden store. Bathroom had a swish, bit of dusting and hoovering, and bed remade.

Lunch was scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast. Lamb leg steak, cannellini bean mash and char grilled cherry tomatoes tonight. Whizzed the LO bean mash with some feta to make a dip. Packed lunch made and kitchen cleared up ready for Grace about 8.15 (same trick Brambling 😉, how many adverts 🙄)

Another sunny day, feels very chilly out at the moment though

More woes, my RH index finger is very tender, arthritis I think which make using my RH very awkward for things like lifting or cutting; unfortunately I can’t take or use Ibuprofen with my other medication so just have to wince & bear it for the moment

Another no cooking day using finger excuse, unless you count popping a PB baguette in the oven for lunchtime with tuna mayo filling

Dinner, nuke a MFO frozen chicken korma, it’s a Sharwoods one which must have been on offer ‘cos I’ve never had one of theirs

    Good morning everyone,
Ouch re the finger Farway, I have similar problems and like you can't take ibuprofen though I was told the gel is okay and it helps a bit.
Damp and drizzling here this morning, a bit of a unexpected change in the weather. I'd hoped to get my bedding dried outside but looks like that won't be happening.
I seem to have amassed a rather long "to do" for the next few days, some unavoidable but otherwise bad planning on my part!
Either cheese or egg salad wraps for lunch and I'm making chicken enchiladas for dinner tonight which we'll have with mashed avocado, salsa, sour cream and some salad.
  • Just a day really, couple of useful meetings and a few things off the to-do list.

Lunch was roasted carrot, pepper and feta couscous. Made linguine puttanesca tonight, served with green beans.

Looking forward to The Split tonight, I’m watching each week’s episode live rather than bingeing to eke it out 🙃

I can take ibuprofen but I can't use the gel as it makes me wheeze, I've had more than one 'discussion' with pharmacists as it can make asthmatics wheeze, one pharmacist told me that I was wrong and the gel wouldn't make me I'll but the tablets would  🙄

typical Monday here as well 🙂 I was bitten on the foot whilst gardening yesterday and it waited until 4am this morning to start itching  :s I'm assuming it got too hot and the antihistamine in my hay fever tablet had worn off my then

lunch was a ham and cheese salad.  Dinner LO lamb and veg from the weekend

Blue sky & sun again, looks like more dozing off in the conservatory time ahead today

My finger is still bad, beginning to think it may be gout, I used to have gout in foot years ago but not had it for years, I wonder if my run down with covid or whatever has triggered it? Bit stuck if it has being unable to take Isobrufen. I have just had GP letter for a check-up which were paused during Covid so may mention it then but need a starving blood test first, meanwhile it seems celery helps counteract the uric acid in the blood so worth a try while I wait the check up

Foods today, make some anti-gout celery soup for later

Lunch, I have a small portion of tuna mayo left, so that in a sarnie with salad bits

Dinner, celery anti gout soup, then cheesy beans with use up toast and a couple of fried eggs on top

    Good morning everyone,
    Ouch Farway, hope it settles.
Dry but chilly here today, I'm glad we made the most of the garden at the weekend.
I was spitting feathers yesterday as Evri delivered parcels to the wrong address, it took a wee while to work out which neighbour it had gone to and unfortunately they weren't in so they were shut in their porch. All sorted now but it was very annoying  :rage:
I made a bit of a dent in the "to do" list yesterday but not as much as I'd of liked, I'll see what I can tackle today.
My sis is coming for dinner tonight - sausage & veg pasta bake. I started the ragu element yesterday so just bechamel and pasta to sort out today.
LO enchiladas for lunch, I used a BBC website recipe and I have to say they were very good though maybe hard to scale to CFO portions though I suppose they could be frozen individually. Chicken enchiladas recipe - BBC Food

Today was very much like yesterday, both work, weather and food 😁 work isn't too manic at the moment although we've been shown a project plan from August to next April and I'm not sure how we are going to fit it in and the usual workload 🙄 so we all finished at 5pm as we will be back to long hours soon enough

lunch was the same as yesterday a egg, ham and cheese salad.  Dinner was a some tomato and veg sauce from the freezer with pasta

  • Rinse and repeat eh Brambling? Make the most of not too manic, I am, it won’t last 😂

WFH day for me and just the one nice easy meeting so even more things crossed off the to-do list…

Lunch was some of the white bean and feta dip I made with the LO bean mash, a flatbread, olives and salad. Early tea before swimming so scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast.
