Yes, I understand what you mean about wanting to save up for travelling and OH's business not doing so well. I think you're probably happier too when you have a big goal to focus on so ignore me telling you to relax a bit!
Out of interest, what platform is everyone moving their S&S ISA to? Mine is still with CSD and I know they've put their fees up recently haven't they. For some reason moving a S&S ISA feels really daunting to meUpdating soon...0 -
Courgette - Vanguard now do a S&S ISA for the less than ridiculously wealthy - vanguardinvestor.co.uk. Fees are 0.15% (CSD have just put theirs up to 0.35%). The transfer was ever so simple and if you have funds in Vanguard through CSD they just transfer them over, they don't even have to withdraw and invest. It honestly took 5 mins (need your NI no. and CSD account no., that was pretty much it!). And the platform is so clear and easy to understand (or I think so), in comparison to CSD.
I didn't realise basil would still be okay to plant Earthie - will put some more of that in! (We have a tub of freeze dried coriander bought about 5 years ago from Aldi - I'm not sure we'll ever get through it, despite using it quite a bit!)

Another wobble for ds2 at football training, he got upset. I don't need to take him as often as I do as he does get really tired. I'm not having him as tired and fed up as he was last season.
We do this with dd - we work out which activities are 'non-negociable' and all the others can be missed. A tired child is not a happy one - and it really does affect everyone else too!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

I'm growing basil inside though -in the conservatory.
My father in law sadly passed away yesterday morning. We are all very sad, it was very peaceful which is giving some comfort.
I wasn't sure about getting paid leave - I think it's unpaid - so I have just powered through yesterday and today at work. I have a big gap now so I'm going to try and get lots of niggly tasks done.
Yesterday I was in total shock mode but my daily block schedule got me through and I didn't forgot anything. Its been so helpful and comforting to know what I need to /should be doing at any point in the day for when I was running without any functioning brain cells!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j
