I had to tell them again last night not to kick the balls full force into the fence. I told them if they need to hit it that hard they can go into the empty field next to my house. I will just have to keep telling them as they are so arrogant and uncaring. I'd be mortified if my children behaved this way!

I have taken a pic and will email the company about it.

So the good things that have happened - students seem ok with my reworking of the week to include time off on Thursday morning so that I don't need childcare. They are playing with my children a lot. The children are having a great expereince and summer holiday because I am taking them to museums, art galleries and events that they wouldn't normally engage with if we didn't have students. My kids are also becoming more responsible and amusing themselves and tidying up after themselves as we all 'pull together'. Phoned my mum in the car on the way back from todays museum trip so that was nice.

I managed to pack and post all my ebay parcels - never again!

I have not relisted any - got them ready to take to charity. The ones that did sell I made about £27. Its just not enough per hour when you consider the time of listing, packing and posting. Thats assuming none of them return items etc. I think it has been good as an experiment, but it is not going to make money for me, and I'd be better spending time on other things.

Also need to redo the avaiable outings for the next students to not include the ones we have already completed so that my children get a bit of variety. I think I have spent about £50 on petrol, £10 on icecreams and £8 on parking so far, with £9 still to spend on swimming on Wednesday. It would be better if I could find cheap things to do that are closer so that I don't spend as much on petrol.

The idea is that my own children get varied holiday activities as well - my allowance is £330 for 2 weeks for 2 students so I can definately up the activities cost.

Also need to add that I weighed in at 8st 5lbs yesterday. So instead of losing I put on 2lbs last week.

I'm going to put much more effort into this. No alcohol and better food choices. More exercise and water :)

    Target: 8st 3lbs by Sunday

    We are Mortgage Free again!!!

Well officially mortage neutral as the money is in saving accounts earning more than I'm paying out in interest. But I can still celebrate!!

£1200 surplus now that my latest teaching money and lodger money has cleared.

OH will now focus on paying for all home improvements from his business - garden fence will be the next expense, followed by a new bathroom and hall decor and carpet.

I will focus on paying for everything and making extra money to travel, hopefully £5000 per year. Some places in the UK are on our hit list this year and next year, as well as visiting some places in Europe, and Australia in 2020.

We will hopefully live happily, heathily and frugally in order to make some amazing life long memories together.

one slight change is I think I am going to up my grocery budget to £50/week. This is to encourage me to buy more types of fruit that everyone here enjoys - think they are bored of bananas and apples! I am going to stay frugal elsewhere on my list but buy organic produce where it will make most difference - the 12 fruits/veg with the most pesticides:

    Strawberries (grow in garden)
    Spinach (grow in garden)
    Nectarines
    Apples
    Peaches
    Pears
    Cherries
    Grapes
    Celery
    Tomatoes
    Sweet Bell Peppers
    Potatoes (grow in garden)

I am also going to restructure and increase our charity giving.

    In other news:

MIL has been an angel and dropped off a lot of cakes etc that I can use as desserts. OH cooked tonight to give me a break - I have managed to organise what I am doing with the next students. I get paid slightly more, but have to do activities with the students at all times.
    Arghhh!

I have decided that a simple routine will be best where I map out reading and homework time to give myself a break too.

Another full morning of teaching completed, a friend to play and then took the last of the unsold ebay items to the ch shop and the kids to the park.

Still need to keep a focus on my eating and drinking. I exercised this morning but more effort needed.
