As you see I am very technical!

All the players above are supplied with headphones, but these are likely to be terrible, so it's worth getting hold of an adaptor. These can be picked up for pennies on eBay (search '2.5mm - 3.5mm adaptor'), or you can get this one in Maplin for £1.99.
Hope this helps

The user interface on these players can be very frustrating - I tried hard to get used to it for many months, but it was just not intuitive at all and I found it very hard to quickly access tracks I wanted. Eventually gave up and bought a Nano.
I'm the first to argue the case against the adage 'you get what you pay for', which is often used by people who can't be bothered to shop around, but in this case I would make the exception...0 -

I would like a link to this - I have gone back through the last 3 weeks of Aldi special buys and cannot find a trace of such a player. ThanksCoincidence is The Lord's way of remaining anonymous0 -
SUPER is an excellent freeware video converter that should be able to convert almost any video you have to a format suitable for either of these players, as well as reducing the resolution to shrink the filesize (since the screen is pretty tiny anyway).

For some reason they make the download links really hard to find, so much so that they provide a guide to finding the download link - http://www.erightsoft.com/dlhelp.html - quite why they don't just make it easier to find the links I don't know, but despite a horribly designed site, the software is a breeze to use0 -

i got a cheap veho mp4 player. I was kind of disappointed. The OS looks like it was made by/for an amiga and the video playback quality is worse than my 3 yr old smartphone. :doh:0
