    Nationwide for £10 would provide:
*UK & European Breakdown and Recovery Assistance including homestart.
    * £100 fee-free overdraft
*Worldwide family mobile phone insurance (iphone excess £100,anyother £50)
    *Worldwide family travel insurance
*Extended 12 months warranty on appliances
    *3% AER in-credit interest (balances upto £2500)
    *Commission-free cash withdrawals abroad(No Fees)
*Identity theft and emergency card assistance
And a FlexDirect (or two) running alongside the FlexPlus could secure a 12 month 0% overdraft (or two)...long enough to allow you to get your finances in order so you don't need to use an overdraft facility each and every month?
  • Thanks Guys.

I continued searching last night and found the below deal with Halifax:
    • Worldwide multi-trip family travel insurance
    • Mobile phone insurance (iPhone - £50 quid excess if damaged and £100 if lost)
    • AA Breakdown Cover including Home Start
    • Home emergency cover
    • Card Cancellation
    • Also earn £125 when you switch to us
    • Fee free £300 overdraft

This would be £10.00 per month.

Resulting in a saving of £7.00 per month and that with the £125 would total £209 better off in year one.

Nationwides refer a friend would net you £100 for the referrer and the referee. Some people have successfully combined this with topcashback.
  • Is nationwide better than Halifax?

Yes, because they are £5 cheaper and there cover is more comprehensive i.e with halifax it Doesn't include AA Relay, which would recover you to any single UK destination of your choice.
So basically if you breakdown 200 miles away from home than they will not take you and your vehicle to your home or other destination other than local garage(if they are closed than you are in deep trouble).

Apologies, I should have made it clearer, I know how to do the referral part but I didn't know how you could combine it with Topcashbac for extra money!

Get the referral first and then apply for the account through topcashback. Some times it works and sometimes it doesn't, worked for me, waiting to see if it works for my missus currently.

    HI all

As I'm sure you all know, the Banks are offering cash incentives to switch to them which I am gratefully accepting as I move from one bank to another..

My question is, does anyone know how much (if any) this affects my credit score?

I had a quick look at Noodle and that has given me a reasonable score but I don't have a point of reference to see if it was better before I started switching..?

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!
