Transferred £1500 in on yesterday's payday and am doing £500 out in chunks over 3 days. The app is letting me do this without the card reader, but the payee is one that transferred over from my old account. This part has gone smoothly0

Has anyone tried taking advantage of the First Direct switch offer of £125 (through money savings experts website). Apparently I didn!!!8217;t meet thier account openeifn criteria, all sorts of questions asked about how much money I would be putting into the account initially and over 12 months, also if anyone else would be making deposits and how much on a monthly basis as well as details of my main bank account (sort code and account number requested). Disappointed that it didn!!!8217;t work as I answered honestly and stated that the account would be used more for savings rather than having my wage paid in each month. Anyone else have a similar experience? Or a better one?0

I tried last year and was rejected. Somewhat surprised as I usually get accepted for most things, e.g. NatWest offered me £2,250 overdraft with this account, and just got an Amex Gold card.0 -
Yeah that is surprising, same here I!!!8217;ve been approved for most things and from the questions they were asking it almost seems like they want a certain type of customer, like they are looking at more than just your credit file. I could be wrong, not sure weather or not to try again or to even bother trying a different bank as I!!!8217;m worried I may get rejected again.0

Well I’m not keeping this NatWest account, so I may try a switch to First Direct — the 5% savings account is attractive.0 -
