thanks

You will probably find that your size varies according to the brand and style of bra.

If you have bigger boobs (I love that word!), I (and many others!) would recommend Bravissimo.

I would avoid Marks and Spencer, and I think the service in Debenhams and John Lewis is variable.

Though if you have small boobs like my GF she swears by Marks and Spencers.

I was going to say if you post a couple of pics I will tell you your size but it's not funny after my serious reply above.

    La Senza also do measuring.

Its really worth going and having it done properly, a good fitting bra makes the world of difference

I agree with dmg about sizes varying. I always buy Fantasie bras as I need a massive cup and even they come up differently according to style or even who made it! When I used to shop at Rigby & Peller I was never measured, they used to take a look then bring some to try on. These days I just try, try then try some more!

I find M&S a joke, they don't make anything near my cup size yet whenever I've been there they try to convince me to try something so totally wrong that I wonder if they're trained at all.

Bravissimo or one of the big House of Frasers (I had great service at the old Dickens and Jones, but clearly that's a very long time ago!). Avoid M&S like the plague if you are at all well endowed - they don't stock many big bras so will try to get you into something they have which will be wrong. You can usually book a bra fitting at Bravissimo in advance and I have never been pressurised into buying lots when I'm there.

    here's the webiste:

(ooh - just had a look and the sale looks bigger than the last time i checked..... must not spend any money!)

I can definitely second Bravissimo for measuring. Their bra's are so comfortable and really made a difference for my back. I'm a 38G and they are one of the few that do beautiful styles for the larger boobed woman :D

bravissimo or john lewis for bigger boobs. m&s are USELESS!
  • Yes! Yes! Yes!! I am a Bravissimo girl, they are FABULOUS. M&S once put me in an E cup, the wiring just used to swing back and forth with my boobs if I moved. I popped into a Bravissimo who fitted me properly, they bought in several sizes and we tried them all on until we found the correct size.

We are not all made the same way and M&S need to realise this!

I'm a 32H, and although I now know my correct size (thankfully Bravissimo sorted me out a bout 10 years ago now so they may have saved my posture for the future), different styles can vary quite a lot so my advice is try lots on.

You will be amazed at the huge difference a proper fitting bra will make to the way you look, it can change your whole body shape, and make you look as though you have lost pounds!

I am another Bravissimo girl. When I first went to them, I ended up buying 2 bras as they felt so fantastic. They are not pushy and really know what they are doing. Definitely wouldn't recommend M & S.

nowhere near big enough for Bravissimo, but La Senza were good with me. M&S actually got mine right, but that seemed to be more by good luck than anything else lol.
