  • Have to agree that Bravissimo is great for bra fitting. I was over the moon when they opened one near me. Their bras are good and again didn't feel pressure to buy when fitted. Better to buy bras in sale if possible though, as sometimes can be a bit expensive.

www.85b.org has a bra size calculator which uses 3 measurements and it's pretty good, might help a bit. I find that size mostly depends on the make and style of the bra though, very hit and miss so when I find something good I tend to buy a few!
  • If you are near Bluewater, York or Cardiff, I can't recommend Leia Lingerie high enough. They are really nice to deal with, plus you get loyalty points for every £10 you spend with them!!

  • I agree with everyone - avoid M&S. I've been to Debenhams and they were really helpful, didn't rush me and took time bringing in different bras for me to try. I'm now sorted with the correct size.:j

I have to recommend Rigby & Peller. Really really nice people, they look at you and can tell what size you are with no measuring tapes, amazing.

I was wearing a 34b for years after being measured at M&S until i got measured at R&P a year ago....I was told I'm a 30c! wearing the correct bra size does wonders

M&S are rubbish at bra fitting-don't ever go there

M&S would do well to take note here.

I'm glad that it's not just me that hates them. I used to feel quite freaky when I could never get a bra to fit there, I used to think that everyone else was buying them there except me!

i just got a 'bigger' bra from figleaves that is on there for only £10! was dubious, but got it as they do a great returns policy. it fits well (same size as panache stuff for me) and is comfortable. found a 10% off and free delivery code online somewhere and also went with quidco - this makes it the cheapest bra i've ever bought in my size - thought i'd share it with the other well endowed ladies on this thread!!!

    Hello,

I would like to make a positive comment about m+s- as ive had no problems with their measuring service at all. I try to go at a quiet time though, so i dont feel rushed. I saw a fantastic lady only about a month ago-who took ages with me, as im picky and wanted to make sure the fit was perfect aswell i needed a good sports bra!

I was wearing the wrong size for ages, i think a common mistake is for ladies to wear too big a size in the band and not big enough in the cup! I had to go down a band size and up two cup sizes! I wasnt as flat chested as i first thought!

So dont put m+s down too much-as a lot of people have had positive experiences with them.

I do agree that shops/brands vary in sizes too-so never buy a bra without trying it on first and idealy get one of the ladies to re-measure you if you havent been for a while as boobs can change size without you reasling ie with weight loss/gain/going on pill etc.

(can i ask why is only bigger breasted ladies who post about bras usually?!)

I think bras generally are more of an issue the bigger your chest gets! When they don't fit it is exceptionally uncomfortable and even one size out can be really painful! I used to be smaller, and whilst a bad bra wasn't particularly fun then, the heavier they get the bigger the ouch! Plus they are more expensive, the choice is pap, etc etc etc. I have a choice of about 2 shops where I live:eek::mad:
