  • Thank you yorkshirelass. It made me feel awful. My sister was going to visit with my 3 month old niece that I've only seen once. Although she always says 'we're coming to see you, not your house' i still made up an excuse.

Since I posted I have made kiddies lunch and emptied and reloaded dishwasher, cleared worktop 1, most of it just launched into pantry and cleaned it. 2 worktop's to go! I've also emptied the airer and folded it into piles ready to go away.

Now drinking another cup of tea.... I drink too much tea!

    Not caught up yet
Got back late last night have spent today so far emptying and gutting the freezer as the 2 malamutes are back at 5, other dog is with work colleague and back tomorrow.
OH has rejigged the conservatory, which has the cross trainer and rowing machine in, dog keeps doing a wee not all the time just occasional in there has since we moved and it’s driving OH up the wall. Done it since we moved in as that’s where previous tenant had a cat litter tray. When they were in crates no pee. Not sure what to do. Will keep thinking.

Have done another shop we were short on fresh with being away but now I am wondering what I got. I think I underestimated our budget for food and drinks by a long way but it’s years since I kept track

Going to get some more laundry done and reorganise the freezer will catch up later
One day I might be more organised...........

I've just managed a quick skim through the Fred from the past couple of days.

Quick recovery vibes to ATB and LW, and anyone else who needs them.
    Belated happy birthday to JoJo.

I'm just back from a lovely weekend away with DSis for her big birthday. I can't actually remember the last time that we spent a weekend together, apart from when my dad died and we had to sort his house. No excuses, and we had a lovely time, so I intend to make more of an effort this coming year. Sometimes I find it too easy to say that time goes too fast, as an excuse for not actually doing what matters. However the hotel did have a set of scales in the bathroom...let's just say that my Slinky target for this year definitely stays at 2 stones.

DH managed after a fashion for the whole 26 hours that I was away. Apparently it was exhausting doing the taxiing for DD yesterday. So much so that they had a takeaway last night, and he's had no weekend. Errrr .... welcome to my world! And I have cleared the ironing pile since I came in, as he 'didn't have time'. Oh well, at least he remembered to get the dinner for tonight out of the freezer.

I'm going to shuffle a few things around the place, cook dinner, and then switch off. I'll see you all on the new thread. X

Sorted a Tesc0 shop.. got a few christmas bits to put away so got all that put away.. cooked pasta and sausages for the girls to scream about and did OH a huge pizza he inhaled.. picked up loads of sausage rolls and garlic baguettes and ready meal things for the freezer.. the meals will be very handy for OH when he gets in from work starving at midnight.

Twinkle saw a 'dog-dog' hat she had to have and she was very grateful for the free banana.

Got batteries for Squeaks Furby OHs mother got her for christmas.. it had new batteries which lasted a week.. and it died on the 5th January .. replaced the batteries and the damn thing won't work... NOT impressed.. I can't even return it because his mother got it from Amazon and I can't access it for return details..

Pigeon, in the battery compartment, there's a reset button, a tiny pin hole thing. We were going to return the girls as thought it was faulty, looks like it needs to be pressed Every time it has new batteries. They do eat through batteries though.

Dryer emptied and folded, have put more in but it's packed up again, spent ages trying to sort it without much luck.

The Sold sign has gone up next door - which set my anxiety off again :(

However I'm crawling with the ball and I've: made the bed; fed the birds; put out recycling; WM x 2; laundry shuffle x 1; taken DS to pick up his car; put birthday cards through doors for godson (18 today) and friend (58 today); visited mum and dad.

Not bad when I started the day with getting out of bed seeming a major task :(.

Just realised my autocorrect mistake, sorry.
That's a shame, it's horrible isn't it. D'S had a pokemon set at £40 and 1 of the characters was missing. We didn't keep the receipt, he was gutted.

Worktop 2 clear (tbf it was done the other day for new microwave so wasn't bad) cleaning small appliances as I go. Might go through the old kitchen lists and cross everything off as it's done.

In one freezer I now have delegated space for

Meat / fake meat that can cook from frozen
    Meat that needs defrosted first
Home made leftovers (all need defrosted apart from baked potatoes)
    Vegetables and fruit
    Potato stuff and other accompaniments
Little bits of stuff saved from the bin like chunks of cheese etc
Kids quick stuff they can do themselves

Feeling far more organised, should make planning and shopping much easier / less wasteful I can’t say ‘got nothing out of the freezer so I must shop’ as that’s a lie
Running late so best go get the dogs
One day I might be more organised...........
