GWS atb. I hope someone is looking after you, and that the whole family doesn't go down with it at once.

DH has gone off to play trains. Phonecalls made.

Add "WMx2" to my list, also "visit friend at 10.30" to my list, also "WMx2". Won't be able to get to PO now.

Morning all. I haven't had time to read through the thread so I hope you're all ok and if you're one of the many with the lurgy, that you feel heaps better soon. DD has just turned up for her flu jab appt to be told they've run out.

This morning I have washed up the breakfast dishes, made our bed, done 20 minutes on the exercise bike, got washed and dressed and sorted out one of the kitchen cupboards. Lots of out of date meds to take to be destroyed. I've also done the menu for the week after trawling the fridge, and sent DH off to work with a shopping list to get on the way home.

Just having a cuppa and will then take the dogs for a walk. Lots more to do today:

More sorting of cupboards in the kitchen and hall
    WI paperwork
And my maybe jobs are still waiting to be done.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning everyone

Happy Birthday Jojo _party_ Hope you have a good day xx
And thank you for your wise words; and thank you to everyone who wished me well yesterday xx

I started to feel vaguely 'human' again yesterday evening and was able to eat. DS's dad came over for coffee and to check I was ok and was pleased I'd been able to do a little flying. I think his words were:'Great. Don't let this !!!!!! stop you moving forward'; easier said than done when your brain has dissolved, but he knows that and knew the effort it would have taken to do anything so I didn't mind.

I slept :T Oh boy, did I sleep :) 10 pm til 5.15 am, up for a wee, then back to bed 'til I woke up at 8.40 am. And I haven't got that disgusting 'oh I've slept too long' dodgy head this morning either. I didn't know if DS had come home or not until I saw his shoes by the front door when I came down. And breathe ;)

Between waking up and actually getting up (9.30 am :o) I decided that I'm going to ask if I can be moved in to the quiet office across the corridor, and if I can have more work to do. (I'm hoping the latter will influence the answer :D ). I'm also going to buy some of Jojo's ear filters - I need to do a Mr T online shop today so I'll buy the filters at the same time.

I've made my bed, opened bedroom and bathroom windows to let in some air, sorted Mount Washmore into loads (DS has cleared his floordrobe :T) and set the first load swishing in WM. I've cleared the draining board and my goal today is to get back on top of the WUDUPA.

But first I need to get dressed and eat - not necessarily in that order ;).

Thank you all again - it really means a lot to me to have a safe place to be myself and feel accepted. Hope that makes sense :)

    Take care

    Rxx

ETA healing vibes winging your way atypicalblonde. Hope you are soon feeling better xx

Ditto that. Savers sell spray dettol disinfectant at a good price. Smells pleasant too; ideal for spraying on the loo/door handles & taps to minimise risk of cross infection.

Out of bed, showered and fed. Washing up soaking in sink; that's the next job. Then I plan on reclaiming my home from the ever-encroaching lava-like flow of gibble.

I started writing this an hour ago. DH then confessed that he hadn't done his tax return yet and could I help him sort it. Tax return has been duly completed and submitted. He owes me. Again.

This kind of thing used to be a very regular feature of life here. Before I lift a finger I now say, 'Please remember next time I ask you to do something that I've had to stop doing what I was doing to help you now, so I'd appreciate a sense of urgency from you as well.' It's worked amazingly well, OH has learned to time his requests so that I can plan to incorporate his extra work when it suits me. Being too complaint in the past seems to have led him to believe quite wrongly that I'm always available, and always willing to put his wants before my needs.
But again my objective is to be lighter in Feb than in Jan and carry on the year like that. Yes I want to lose 12 kg approx 2 st but if I set that as a target for this year and have only lost 6 by the september I am likely to see it as Failed but just saying I will be lighter each seems doable. Any weight lost will be better!

Such a great way of looking at weightloss, rather than being disappointed at every weigh in that I haven't met a random target. If I do it your way I'll lose all the weight I want to this year at a rate of 1lb a month - doable, surely, even for a chocoholic like me. Thank you. I don't want to join the Slinky Challenge as I know that's just another thing I'll start feeling I'm not achieving and one is quite enough.

Massive happy birthday for you, Jojo. Love your posts, so sorry to hear Himself has not been eating enough or properly which then led to the bank card hassle. Your calm spaces sound exactly what I need to achieve for H2H. Good to know someone's managed it despite other people's chaos surrounding them.

Happy birthday Mr MP for earlier in the week.

Congrats on the job confirmation Lynnejk and I quite like the idea of a Flylady Meet in Spain, but my reluctance to faff about at airports any more might make attendance unlikely. Tempting thought though.

(((Hugs))) for Mumof2 and Roundtuit. It sounds as though both of you are feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment. More (((hugs))).

Huge congratulations to Lil Me for the stonking SW overall weightloss. The trend is very encouraging, isn't it?

Healing vibes for ATB. Horrible for you.

I'm not sleeping through the night at the moment, and about 10 days of not switching the light off anywhere near as early as I should has resulted in me dragging myself around for the past week. I have not achieved anything like the amount I wanted to, but I've realised that H2H is the longhaul this year, and anything, anything at all that I do to progress it is worthwhile, even if it was only a bit of dusting this week. It's not enough to make a massive difference, but it's an improvement on not doing anything at all. No matter how small I am doing something extra every day and telling myself repeatedly that is progress, which it is. I simply don't have the energy, and never will, to achieve everything on my list of things I [STRIKE]need[/STRIKE] want to get done every day.
    Better is good enough.

you know you shouldnt use dettol if you have cats or fish as it is highly toxic to them?

Dogs are walked, rubbish/recycling/composting is out, hall cupboard is tidier. Just about to put first load of washing on the airer and get second and final load today in the machine.

Then I will do more tidying in the kitchen. Too much gibble from Christmas still hanging about.
