Mobile Broadband With Lots Of Data

Are there any mobile broadband deals that give unlimited data or have a large data allowance?
Is there a difference between getting a mobile router, a dongle or tethering a mobile? How easy is it to use a mobile phone to send the signal to my computer so I can use the internet?
I'm in London. What kind of speeds can I get with 3G or 4G?

1 are you planning on using it as a home broadband connection
2 a mobile router is a stand alone broadband connection normally a mifi box or dongle for example

My home internet is having problems and is very slow. I'm looking to replace it if a mobile option exists or just take monthly mobile broadband contracts when I have a lot to watch online.0

How long has home internet been having problemsLet them eat cake (Marie Antoinette 1765)0

My internet speed has been very slow since the end of October. Pages take a long time to load especially pictures. I often get error messages on some web pages presumably because of the slow speed. I am meant to get up to 20Mb. I was getting 14Mb when it was working properly but now I am only getting 1Mb or less.
My ISP will charge me £210 if they send an engineer and there is a fault in the house. I don't know what is causing the slow speed.0 -
have you asked your neighbours if there speed has gone down since October and or maybe you need a new router, who you with, Im with plusnet, how old is your routerLet them eat cake (Marie Antoinette 1765)0

I don't know if my neighbours have the same problems. I'm with Hotchilli. My router is about 10 years old.0

3 mobile do unlimited data quite cheap on a phone contract, however it is usually limited to 5 gig of tethered data. But you can get apps to trick your phone into believing it is mobile data and not tethered and i should imagine london 4g speeds will be 30+ down 25 up0

£15 a month. Monthly contract.
It could be anything. I don't know how to find the cause without replacing everything.
How likely is it to be the router working but making the speed slow and causing error messages on some pages?0 -
