I thought the point was clear. Is that a rant (nothing wrong with having a rant) or was there a question?

There is a specific forum for rants so if it was a rant you might get wider coverage in that forum.

Bit of both. Thought someone might have had a kinder response from the company. Their customer service isn’t marvellous but I’m a bit shocked they have been so harsh particularly as items are in original packaging and not used.

The one immediately above this one called The Praise, Vent & Warnings Board
  • I'm afraid the only person being nasty in this thread is you op.

While you appear to have had an awful year ending especially badly there is no need to take it out on forum members who are simply trying to help.

The first three people gave you the correct answer and asked a very relevant question (rant or question) not telling you what you want to hear does not make them nasty.

Genuinely sorry for your loss like, don't get me wrong.

But unfortunately you have no entitlement to the money back (unless the item is faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose). And I don't think that ANY customer service advisor could have sugarcoated the NO sufficiently enough here!

That would leave you with a limited set of options:

    - Sell it privately
    - Gift it to charity/friends/family
    - Keep it

All the best for you and good luck recouping some money.
