DD arrived by unplanned section on 17th, her due date. 7lb 2oz and doing well. Should be going home later today as my recovery is much better than last time.
I was worried about how many 'up to 1 month' or 9lb baby grows I'd acquired but she was about 10z less than they'd estimated!
Just in case anyone was wondering how we were doing lol

Congratulations Lucy. Wonderful news.
Today in honour of the weather I bought dd (14) a pair of denim shorts that don't fit.....so back they will go and a lovely super dry t shirt in a sort of tie dye effect with a sequin pocket... It sounds horrible but is actually very festival chic. That cost me £3 and she is very pleased with it. We just need to source some more shorts
Ooh I just found a google image thing of it

Gem-Gem- do you live in Bromley? I`d suggest you look at the Mission shop in Chatterton Road as well as the cs in West Wickham. They`re better than the ones on the High st.0

Browsed around several shops in the heat today, but nothing to get excited about. Then, just as I was about to give up, I spotted a set of four absolutely perfect round Pyrex individual sized pie dishes/bowls. They are in the Chelsea pattern (which I remember from my childhood) and don,t say Pyrex on them but have the JAJ mark and pattern number on the base. All four for £2. I am so happy, these are great for batch cooking and freezing single size portions and will aid my drive to eliminate plastic (I have always used the plastic takeaway boxes and lids from the pound shop, but they do crack or get mis-shapen after a while).0

Thanks, I live about 4 miles from Bromley. I will look the mission shop up.

Today I've spent far too much and my only excuse is mice have been spotted in the house (traps have been put down) a dead mole was brought in from the garden by the dogs so whilst dh deals with eradication of all entrance points I went shopping!
I got a very nice shift type dress for dd (14) with a sort of open lace too, short sleeves and then I think the body is called trapeze shape. Not sure of make as didn't look and now in washer £3.49. A small pretty Carlton ware vase £1.49 don't know if that's a good price or not but very pretty.
An autograph chasmere cardigan in pale pink looks unworn as no bobbling £7.99 (similar currently £85 on m and s site). They had two other colours in the same cardigan all donated by the same lady apparently and I was sorely tempted but resisted.
A shirt by Charles trywright (sp) for £1.46 I actually gave them £2 as it's a tiny shop for a local hospice
A joules rain cape with bag again hardly worn from sue Ryder for £8.50 and I also bought a £1 lottery ticket
Final purchases were a very pretty green glass cake stand type thing. I inherited a pink one from my mum and thought this would look lovely with it for £2.99 and a Boden dress for dd (24) in a retro design.
I know I've spent a fortune and do feel quite bad but i suppose I've got everything for less than the retail price of dh shirt.0 -
Rummaging through a 50 pence box, I tugged out something & blinked rather hard as I recognized the Kipling logo. The dear soul was quite happy to have my 50 pence, gently flapped a hand to shoo away any anxieties I might have & off I tootled.
I gawked online & it's Still For Sale, as a passport holder for £19! I console myself with the thought that I will be back there next week, likely buying more things (they had a Denby mug last time!) and must member to take a bag of donations.
Right. Now to renew my passport...0 -

Hope the new passports fit it, but even if they don't I'm sure you can think of many other uses for it. Off the top of my head - coupons, receipts, emergency cash, cinema tickets, season tickets... :TI haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe
