I have bought a few bargains over the past few weeks but the Next sale was on and I had to work a lot of shifts so didn't have time to update on here.

A navy blue Jaeger dress with a white leaf pattern - £4 It is smart enough for work and would be a nice occasion dress too.
A black Mela Loves London skater dress with a ditsy brown leaf, robin, tropical bird, frog and ladybird pattern - £4
A green Mango Suit blouse with a large purple floral pattern - £4 It was overpriced but it was the only suitable work blouse in all of the shops I checked.
A Massimo Dutti tie bottom polo -£3. I am not sure how to describe the colour cause it could be anything from a burnt orange, to a pale red, to a coral pink. It is nice and breezy and would look nice with a skirt.

Pollycat, absolutely you were ripped off! :rotfl:

I think past tense has an excerpt of the newest book due out this autumn in the back of it.

OH also not sold on Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher. I quite like the films, though never read the books so can't compare them. Thank you for the other authors. OH has only recently got back into reading which is fab, so suggestions of others for me to look out for for him to try are much appreciated.

    OK.
I really enjoyed the Millennium Trilogy:
    Girl with the dragon tattoo
    Girl who played with fire
Girl who kicked the hornet's nest
Quite often found in charity shops

Jo Nesbo - Norwegian writer. His character is Harry Hole. The Snowman was filmed fairly recently with Michael Fassbender.

I also like Harlen Coben. Character is Myron Bolitar, ex basketball player turned sports agent. Plus standalone books

I read a lot of Wilbur Smith in my 20s.

It's a bit like reading Agatha Christie's Poirot and having a vision in your head then watching a film with Boris Johnson in the starring role (but much worse). ;)

Having had a disappointing time this last couple of weeks in my usual chazza shops I ventured back today to one I had previously visited ages ago and discounted as not being very good. Twas a huge Cancer Research 'everything under £3' shop.

As soon as I got through the door I spotted a pair of black suede Hush Puppy sandals, as new and my size £3. Not really needing them I put them back.....*proud*. Then I found a white crinkly see-through organza top, hip length with floaty 'medieval' pointy sleeves, dinky little mother of pearl buttons down the front and a deep hem of silky embroidered white flowers. Make is Dayi(?). Will wear as a light jacket over a vesty top, £3. Then I found a b/n Berketex cream coloured dress, slight empire line thingy going on as fitted under the bazooms and then straight into a fitted skirt with back kick pleat. Heavy crepe fabric, fully lined, sleeveless, V neck back & front and with a band of lightly beaded & embroidered fabric under said bazooms. Beautifully made, even has those press studded tabs on the shoulders to keep your bra straps hidden and two tiny weights to hold the kick pleat in place. Also £3. Took a chance with this as it was a size smaller than I usually get and they don't have a changing room to try things on. Delighted to find it fits perfectly :j Welcome back chazza fairy :D

A good haul from Ludlow (full of very slow walking tourists) and Bewdley (fewer tourists, more rain).

Saltrock turquoise t shirt with ocean picture - £3 (for me)

    Hollister Jeans
    Next jeans £10 altogether

    Jack Wolfskin hoodie
    VW camper t shirt

All for smaller son when he starts college

Waves to Frith from Ludlow:), agree about the tourists, the town very much needs the trade ATM, but do wish that they would not amble around and then just stop dead in front of me:(

Poor pickings last couple of months, but I have a very limited "want" list as I have far too many clothes, this week's purchase is a Land's End Navy/Red/Winter white top for £2.85 from the Dog Rescue Shop, it will work with several pairs of trousers and jeggings:D

I rarely get really really good clothing bargains in the chazzers Is this because I'm a size 16 and the "average" size for Britain? Wish I was a size 8 or 10 (for many reasons :o) but is it the smaller sizes that are more barganious do you think?
    Normal people worry me.
