Like GQ I'm 5'10'' and I do still wear heels on occasion but usually when I'm with DH in case I need someone to hold on to!!! I wasn't particularly tall growing up but I didn't stop growing until I was in my early 20's! I think because of that I stand straight so in heels I'm 6ft plus and I love it!!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

I know that I should ALWAYS do that but I do like to have both hands free for rummaging. So sometimes I tell myself that nobody else could possibly be interested in my item.....then I'm proved wrong!!:(0 -
Miro - take them to the counter and say you'd like the item but want to carry on browsing - I've been caught out like you so that's what I do now! That's a very good idea...thanks silvasava
It's taken me years to train myself to always wear a cross body handbag when visiting charity shops just to keep both hands free. They seem to pile so much stuff on rails it's impossible to just casually browse along...usually brute force is needed!0 -
Ooooh this thread's quiet
.....
Been 'visiting' a pair of trousers in a local chazza for the last week or so. Dark navy, heavy cotton, slimfit but with stretch made by Boden and in great condition, priced at £5. Kept telling myself I ddn't need them but today I gave in and tried them on. Great fit so I had to buy them....bit more than I usually pay but I see they normally cost between £60 a £75 in the Boden shop. Only chazza purchase this week.
Two bin bags of clothes sorted and ready to deliver to a chazza this week-end.0 -
We're having a new kitchen next month so have been filling bin bags with stuff from the back of cupboards that we didn't know we had, and haven't seen the light of day for decades!
Fifth and sixth bin bag delivered to Hospice shop today. I am not allowing myself to step over the threshold in case I get tempted, and I know there's not a single thing I currently need (apart from a shedload of money to pay for the kitchen!).
I'm quite hoping my resolve lasts post-kitchen operations, but I will have to find a new hobby if so!I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Had a good day at the chazzer yesterday. I bought some furniture I needed for my study, a couple of books and Mum spotted a Viners of Sheffield tray - pic below - for £8.

Hope is not a strategy...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!
