Apologies for being completely at least one can short of a six pack, but with the Asda receipts limited at 10 to a month, can I set up more than one Asda account?
(I blame the cold meds I'm taking.)0 -
Latest hit on the Coinstar £1.04 and 1/2 a Swiss Franc (about 36p). I spotted a glint of silver and realised there was a gap between the metal frame and the plastic front panle of the machine in which was a 10p. I picked that out and realised there were more coins down there... For a fleeting second I considered getting out my Swiss Army knife but that might have looked even more suspicious than usual! As I went to stand up again, I leant on the front of the machine and the plastic panel flexed... allowing me the finger room to pick out the restI need to think of something new here...0

Had a good month in Ireland being a very neat tidy shopper in Mr T- best till receipt was for 195cc points- so people throw away almost E2 (or even £2!).
Anyway in all earned myself over 2100 points (worth £21) , some roadkill and few mm today can add them on but struggling to work out their worth!!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Just went to claim 108 CC points on a single receipt in T, as I normally do, and was asked to produce the Debit Card used to pay for the shopping, which obviously I didn't have! Never been asked that before.0

and nothing since! It looks like the screens are now reminding people to pick up their rejects so there's less to find. Or one of you is getting there before meI need to think of something new here...0

What is this about the coinstar? Do people just leave money in it or something?0

Hi All,
Long time, no talk.
As mentioned, I am unable to manage the thread for the remainder of the year due to other commitments, however, if someone wants to/can take over for this year and next year at least, it'd be great!
Great to see everyone doing so well thoughMotorsport Fanatic & Comper0 -
MM - you've created several happy monsters, and it is in no way your fault I haven't figured this signature thing.
Today wombled one asda chit (loads of booze but this weekend fierce competition, so waste paper) & had to dash back for forgotten off list items & that netted me a fiver back!
Huge thanks for the encouragement & support!0 -

Some people don't check the return tray for rejected coins.
Some people do - but then leave any foreign coins behind - or tossed on top of the machine - or thrown on the floor!
So as I walk past - I scoop them up. Sometimes it's a few coppers or cents, sometimes it's silver, a couple of times it's a round pound.
Usable UK currency goes into a moneybox and is spent on ice-creams on our next day out. Foreign currency goes into a pile and when I have a reasonable amount I change it to be added to the money box. OK I lose on the exchange rate/commission but as it was free money anyway... I also have the advantage of working in Central London where you can find Fourex machines to accept coins. And those foreign coins may be worth less than 1/2p or considerably more e.g. a Swiss half-franc looks very like a 5p piece and a Belarusian rouble looks like a 10p but both are worth 36-37p.I need to think of something new here...0
