Sounds like a great attitude to have - absolutely no point having uncomfortable feet if you can do something about it!

Glad you saw the Chagall windows. They are stunning I think.   Used to live near Ightam Mote so a fav spot for me!
It's a wonderful area!  Not terribly far away from me, but enough to be properly different, and these two spots were so, so special.

I've been trying to carry on Getting Things Done, but its been a bit tough - a neighbour has basically blown up at me, after I took a photo of one of their vehicles, big tall ones, blocking me in so I have no view out from the house.  He scared me, I confess, and then he said things like "you want to be scared, I'll scare you", "its the worst thing you ever done when you moved here" and "the sooner you move, the better".  Well, I actually agree with the last one, maybe with the second as well, though all the other neighbours are lovely.  But this one is making things too difficult for me, and the prospect of becoming elderly here, and still coping with them - well, it explains my grumpy feelings just after returning here on Tuesday.  It also explains why I felt so good shortly after this harassment - I've been trying to persuade myself it's too much bother to move, and its really not.  So I'm off.  I'd still like to drive, if I can, but I need to move.  Those two things are the focus this year.  Eye test tomorrow to see if I need glasses to drive.  It's going to be quite something.

That's horrible KC, the neighbour sounds like a right windbag bully.  Seems to have encouraged you to make up your mind about a move though?  Chin up, I know how nasty, inconsiderate neighbours can make life miserable as been in that situation a couple of times [not here].  Take care and DLTBGYD x

Gosh, how awful, I'm so sorry. It's a dreadful thing to feel uncomfortable in your own house - and to be actively threatened and scared must be even worse.

But it sounds like it's crystallised your decision to move, so that bit is a good thing. Yes, moving can be a nuisance, but we'll worth it for peace of mind, and to be closer to things 😊

Do you have any thoughts about the type of place you want to be yet?

That is awful Karma, how horrible for you. Are these the noisy neighbours with the dog? I don’t blame you at all for wanting to move - if that’s what you’ve put up with, I’m surprised you’ve lasted as long there as you have - I certainly wouldn’t have!
