I wish I hadn't put anything in the loft but I was moving from a reasonable sized 5 bed into a small 3 bed & had no clue what I needed to dump & I wasn't in the best place then. I WILL get there. But I have a whole 8 place dinner service with gold decoration to find somewhere to get rid of it.

Yep, beanie, he's my hero too, for sure
Badmemory, I have quite a few surpluses of plates, not many of bowls, which are what I actually use 😀 my mum had a six-place dinner set with gold edging, which we split between the three of us. That's the lot for gold dinnerware, thank heavens (oh, one bowl - but that can't go in the dishwasher, so doesn't get used 🤣).
Today was bliss, we fired off our little rocket, a toy bought in America 20 years ago, 3 times, with recently bought firing caps or whatever it is. Its fast! And the mastermind was thrilled that we had a misfire, so he had lots of ideas to play with. Then sat around chatting like grownups, omg it was amazing.
Shattered now, of course, but all I *need* to do is get a shower. Life is good2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -
I don't use mine because it needs a dishwasher & gone are the days when I am going to stand with my hands in the sink. When I was married we used to have dinner parties (doesn't that sound posh) which I hated but it seems I was quite good at. When I got it I was told to insure it for at least £1k, so I have no idea what it is worth now as some bits have never been used. I did have a look on ebay & went pale when I saw how much they were selling side plates for. So I don't feel like I can just dump it.

Badmemory, not dump it of course - but maybe sell it? If you don't use - and you don't sound like you particularly like it - it frees up a lot of space. IDK, that sounds a struggle.
I've done nothing whatsoever - showered, washed my hair, used the hairdryer because its so cold without it, dishwasher was ready to go when I got in. I slept *so* badly last night wtih thinking about the rocketry stuff, grrr.
A few mse tiddles done: a YG survey for 50 points, and I won a comparatively large amount with the baby Happy Wheel, over £32023: the year I get to buy a car3 -
I do like it, love it in fact, but I am never going to use it anymore. I do have a whole other dinner service which does go in the dishwasher, Blue Pacific. The other Fitz & Floyd Palais & Dynasty is lovely but I no longer have friends who would appreciate it.

Today, phew, I've been:
(A) lazy
(B) tidying up
(C) done two machine loads of washing
(D) chatting to bruv.
And then there's (E) which is getting the shopping delivery into the house and starting to clean it. Done the frozen stuff, the chilled stuff, and part of the food cupboard stuff. So now I'm taking a break from that, getting the rubbish bin out there, maybe mending the lid of the recycling bin with waterproof tape (I hope its waterproof) and then getting the washing in off the line. Very, very domestic.2023: the year I get to buy a car2 -
Right, had *another* long phone chat this morning
and this is awfully late to get going for the day, but it is what it is. Christmas arrangements are firmed up a bit, which is good. I get to ride in my nephew's new car 🚙
Today:
- prepare for pneumonia vaccination, not only presenting myself at the GP's able to bare my arm 🤣 but also with food ready to cook, or at least easily cooked, my record with vaccinations isn't that great.
- tax paperwork: I sorted loose paperwork into years last night, and now that my desk is almost back in order, some papers can get filed, others can get used, others can go in the cardboard box on the desk ready to be worked on. I also started to sort the French income, need to find the currency conversion rate I'm going to use for all the figures, but that's okay.
- ongoing tidying, cleaning, blah blah. Including cleaning the wheelie bin I mended yesterday, the rain that was getting in has made it a fairly disgusting environment, open to decay, bleurgh.
- won £50 premium bonds, yay.2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -
Ooh, excellent premium bonds win!3
