It was nice too, thanks, though not gooey, mea culpa
Definitely need lunch now after a late morning snack of so much sugarI'd like to get more weeding done for the bin tomorrow, but its raining. That's the advantage of June - lots more hours in the day when working outside is okay
I've also been trying to do number 12 - get the new cc functional. Seems fine, but I have to use it with the pin before it will do contactless, which is actually a really good security idea. Since I have to buy covid tests, I'll do it with that, that'll work, and kill two birds with one stone.2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -
Can you do the same with the cc as you can with a cash card. Just put it in an ATM & ask for a balance or similar? Save you actually spending money!

Maybe, badmemory, I really don't know. But I actually do need to spend money on the LFT - I have to have a test 24 hours before travel, and I have to provide proof that I'm in the clear. The cruise company mention "the test cassette showing a negative result", and I *will* keep my test cassette, but I'd prefer to use something like this Fit to fly lateral flow test kit with verification service | LloydsPharmacy which has a verification service. I'm prepared to spend a bit more than I'd like to make sure of not getting turned away at the gangway! The cc letter does say there needs to be a transaction, and I'm not going to risk major inconvenience by not making a purchase on it, when I need to make a purchase anyway
Spent an hour doing more waste management - a *lot* of weeds pulled up, though a few let seeds float around, but not many. I need to keep at it!
My current cause for craziness is that I'm trying to log on to my broadband account from my new kindle - but it won't. I just realised I probably need the account password, not the router password. So the account password will need to be reset.
I do feel like I'm going a bit bonkers with thisone more try, and I'm done - Outlander will rule!

The NHS app is useful anyway KC - all my allergies are listed in it for a start.
I've been using Prenetics for my LFTs for the US (not that I used the last one as they changed the rules).3 -
Hiya greenbee - when I stopped being so micro-focussed earlier today, I started to realise that
I think it could be very useful. The whole thing of scanning my face in the 3 primary colours while I tried to keep my eyes open was a bit strange, but it must hopefully mean its very, very secure
I tried again with the kindle for ages - I've already used it, I know its okay, but I just can't get it working my broadband. I'll try again tomorrow.
In the meantime, I filled another bucket full of weeds and brambles2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -
Hmm
bought the ready-to-travel LFTs from Lloyds, but didn't have to use the pin number, annoyingly
well, maybe the new cc won't be ready for contactless, but at least I know it's useable. Actually, I don't even know if it *has* a pin now. Maybe I'll need to have another supermarket delivery just to find out 😲
That fulfilled two items from the list, plus I paid the French management company.
I can carry on with AN item I started yesterday - functionality of AA batteries - but not the wireless connection on the kindle, as I have a supermarket delivery this afternoon, and if I do both, my head might explode2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -
Decided to carry on checking out the new cc - I've just asked for a pin reminder, as I really don't want to get stuck abroad with an old pin number
should be here in 3 - 5 days, that's good. Plus I downloaded some statements, that was on the big list.
Supermarket delivery arrived - I'd cancelled a few unnecessaries, thankfully, it's nearly all cleaned and put away.
The item on the big list about washing new purchases is also being attended to (4 items done, 8 part done).
Currency is on the list too: I imagine there's very little to buy, apart from in Reykjavik, but sister and I both want cash currency for each place. But need to buy it from somewhere I can walk to, and somewhere that will buy it back, because I just won't use all of it. Post Office seems the only one - but the website is appalling, been going round in circles.
Anyway, I zoomed in to the U3A meeting on spaceflight this morning - had to cut it in half, it was *so* hard to do it on zoom - skype is actually better, I've used that recently with subtitles for calls, which is astonishing. I'm fairly useless at zoom.
Cooking lots of portions of red kidney beans/split peas/red lentils in the slow cooker right now - that helps too.
YG Finance offering 500 points for linking an active validated account, and 100 points for validated savings accounts. Hmmm, thats £5 and £1 respectively. And YG are a firm that make money by selling people's information/opinions. I think others have done this? Ed, maybe ... comes down to trusting YG, though, doesn't it, and I'm not sure I trust them with that level of info. I'll have a look and see.
ETA - just looked at YG - not doing it, it's a tiny amount of money compared to the disclosure of so much financial information.
Emailed starzplay to cancel debit while I'm away.

Ah, oddly enough I much prefer zoom to everything else! 😂 I suppose it all depends what you're familiar with and what you use it for. I used Skype quite a bit pre pandemic and it was a pain in the bum, and when everything else stepped up I ditched it entirely. Can't abide teams.
I think my approval of Zoom stems mostly from the 'touch up my appearance' function 🤭🤭😂😂4 -
