Mmmm indeed! I'm eating the brownies accompanied alternately by Bonne Maman strawberry jam originally bought for Christmas, and soy yogurt from my latest supermarket shop. Very nice
I managed to get to the Healthy Walk this morning! Admittedly, the short walk, but lots of the same people were there. A newbie even guessed I'm from Liverpool, which hasn't happened in a long time, people usually just say "northerner" nowadays. Pleased to know I've still got it
Today: tidying upstairs, eg in tidying away the Christmas stuff, I found 4 led lights I'd put in there last year, trying to hurry. !!!!!!? It's things like that that take the timeI'd better do a YG survey, and I wonder about staying in with Pinecone and doing another few there. I better had, as things are getting so dodgy on the economics front these days. Better safe than sorry and all that.

Brownies are good, funny/ witty comebacks are even better
So, today ... what to do? I'm at that awkward stage of the work where I can see the finish line, and this would normally be the signal that I've finished the work enough to move on to something elsebut that's not good enough! So, gulp ... I'm going to phone the double glazing supplier who's installed the rest of my windows, and make an appointment
I'm just prolonging unnecessarily if I don't. I just *hate* the idea of a stranger coming into my home so much - but I know Cheery's had builders in, people have carers in, all sorts. I spent Saturday with the new baby, and the new parents both had covid in the first part of January. I have to get a grip, and move on in the world.
After the phone call - carrying on with what preparations are left. And the green bin will be collected next Tuesday, neighbour has used it big-time yesterday, I can start to lob a couple of buckets-worth in there now. I also have an ambition to make Yorkshire puddings, but we'll see2023: the year I get to buy a car7 -
It is no fun having to have workmen in is it. I had to have a new boiler in November - he was very good but I don't think I could have coped with a team! The bonus is when they want to fit a smart meter, sorry I am not having people in the house.

Not looking forward to the workmen, but it has to be done, the windows really aren't funny any more, grrr. And I've done the phone call! Appointment is next Tuesday, 4 - 5. He'll wear a mask, and so will I, of course, to show willing. I think I'm going to take this opportunity to spring clean my bedroom curtains and the blackout liners. Very pleased to have done this and got it going.2023: the year I get to buy a car6

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!5 -
