Yes - queuing hasn't been nearly so bad in the nice weather! I queued in drizzle @ Tesc0 once at the start which was not pleasant - have been very thankful for the lovely weather we've mainly had these past few months!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £203

I think if we’re still social distancing come autumn (which we will be, realistically), there’s going to be a lot of problems with the queueing situation. Imagine supermarkets will be able to afford to put up shelters, but not the smaller shops. It will be another impact on the high street.
Yesterday I was nearly knocked into, on two separate occasions, by people in a supermarket. Both times the people were those definitely more at risk than me, being in their late 60s, early 70s.Mortgage Free November 2018

Goodness, atm the only thing I'm doing at 8:30 in the morning is drinking coffee and looking out the window & soaking in the 'greenery' 😂
On Monday I had a grocery delivery - which due to Sainsbo's NOT bagging the groceries as promised (for shielding customers), meant a 20 mins of anxious time spent unpacking into the house instead of the driver leaving everything on the grass! - Thankfully it was a regular driver who was quite understanding when I asked him to step back 2m away while I decanted everything onto the kitchen floor! Another 1.5 hours later everything had been disinfected and put away & the floor washed. I collapsed onto the sofa emulating Cleopatra, while OH arranged for dinner to be cooked & served up 💤💤💤💤😴

Lovely posters
- people who know my garden fence very well, a returnee (hi Hazelnutty!) and a new-to-me poster (hello Staffordia! I've passed through Stafford on the train all my adult life, every now and then, always strikes me as a nice place).
RT, thats a great image of you at 8.30, but I have to confess, the shopping I did is still sitting in my shopping trolley in my porchall the cleaning and putting away is yet to do. Colour me shamefaced. I've been out on a walk this morning with my sister, we haven't seen one another since March 17th, the day we got back from the cruise, so that was a big deal. She drove down here, so no public transport was involved. It gave me a lease of life where the house-cleaning is concerned, I had to do a bit in case she wanted to come in to use the loo. I'm not a naturally houseproud person, though I love the look of a clean house, and without external stimulus, my goose is well and truly cooked
I have a huge list of financial things I need to do to catch up with myself - today, there's a must-do, which is paying in to my bank for the rewards account. After that, I need to get myself in gear, I'll be back at some stage with a list - I'll probably try to start that on Friday.2023: the year I get to buy a car7 -

I haven't lived in Staffs for years, but when I was looking for a name, I took it from one of my antique maps.Mortgage Free November 2018

How nice to know, Staffordia
pop back more, why don't you - you can do it on your phone if you need a lie down!
Well, the weather watered the garden for a bit yesterday, which was good. I finally did the payment in to my bank for the current account deal, but I've done nothing further, oops. So today:- washing machine (its on at the moment)- clean the dratted shopping before the weekend.- tidy up the porch (that won't take long, done most of it).- bit more vacuuming, now I have the bit between my teeth ...- cook! I have some leftover stuff to use - sweet potatoes, tomatoes, onions, garlic - and lots of nice nuts and seeds that live in the freezer to provide the protein. I also really need a savoury recipe to use up SR gluten free flour and Jamie Oliver has just the thing https://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/bread-recipes/easy-flatbreads/Even though I have no yogurt (dried milk powder as a substitute?) or unsalted butter (salted and like it, thank you very much). Two recipes in one day might be a bit muchbut lets face it, the first one just needs some onions and sweet potatoes to be peeled, and that will take 5 minutes.
- the most crucial for my financial future - check on Net Worth, including expiry of deals and current and future interest rates. Thats a biggy, and I *know* I won't do it all today. But I'll start. I may have to rejig my security document to separate out the out of date accounts, which are still there because of tax declarations.Still, a little bit more time on here first.Hope everyone has a good day

Hmmm, I'm still not doing well on even a minimal list like the one above. I *did* get the washing out (my line collapsed *again*, I'll have to tighten it or something), I did some more vacuuming, I went a walk, I chatted with a friend, and I chucked onions, sweet potatoes, garlic and cashew nuts in the slow cooker, very nice, found some carbs and it all went down well. Though I didn't cook Jamie Oliver's recipe, I found a Jack Monroe sort of equivalent that uses a bit of coconut oil (I have some - if I like the recipe and I use it up, I might even experiment with butter or veg oil) https://cookingonabootstrap.com/2018/09/24/lardy-buns-recipe/But I didn't do the bread cookery (got to use up all that SR flour!) and I didn't do the financial jobs listing or the Net Worth thing. Next post will be the listing, doing it *now*!

Financial Jobs List1. Can I get a refund for the now unwanted router?2. Pay credit cards and put the direct debits onto automatic payments.3. Check what my French bank are writing to me about, something about the documents.4. Update my security document - my shopping apps don't keep me signed in any more, and I'm changing passwords daily, its a faff!5. Check what savings accounts are active, especially that, though need to check on pension accounts etc too.6. Standardise the details I have on them - account number, expiry date of any deal, current interest rate, regularity of interest payment, contact method, passwords and security questions.7. Some savings accounts have expired - I need to shuffle money around and open new accounts.8. Swagbucks - I'm inches away from a £5 Amazon voucher. When I get there, stop it, I need time and headspace to go for matched betting.9. Three: ring them up and withdraw all the options for mobile data I took up, they were only ever emergency info while I was wifi-less.10. Pinecone - just before I lost the interweb, I cashed out £45 of JL vouchers ... need to check how to use them.11. Use some cash to up my premium bonds amount, I know that people have talked about it on here - I'll check before I do it.12. Check about claiming State Pension (I hope its still around in 6 months!) there's something about a notification 4 months prior? Must check that out.13. Read my meter and submit numbers - they're wittering at me again. I pay a tiny amount, but my useage might have gone up, what with extra hygiene precautions (more regular washing machine use, hotter temperatures).14. Reward money for my bank account: transfer to current account. Download statements while I'm at it.15. I may withdraw some money from ratesetter while I'm at it. Its done me well, but even before I lost the internet, they were warning investors that the rate they'd be paying would be going down. I need to safeguard some of that profit.16. Ordered a magnetic knife rack to get free postage when I was ordering some kitchen knives - the rack never turned up, I don't think, must check the situation.17. Caravan holiday refund - part from the caravan park seems to be going okay, that from The Sun, I'm not sure. Must check.18. I've given up on the website I used to run, my needs have changed, so I just need to check that no one's taken money from my account. I *think* people are good about it, but many a slip, etc ...19. Input my new banking details to the kdp/kindle website, I'm sure they owe me some money. I've let my Amazon seller account lapse, thats sort of okay, especially with Covid19 doing the rounds.20. I have an account with cahoot, it was £240, and I *know* its gone dormant. Fetch that money out, and stick it somewhere accessible. And honestly, its only then that I feel I can safely pay attention to matched betting! This is going to take a while. Realistically, I'll aim for the end of the month. Gulp.2023: the year I get to buy a car6

Welcome back KC! What a palaver you had trying to sort everything out 😮
Excellent financial list there though, and looks like you've made some good gardens progress too. Glad you got to see your sister again. Do you have any other plans for meeting up with folk?4
