Cruise sounds exciting, my sister and BIL were on a Baltic cruise earlier this year including St Petersburg. They had a great time but I can't remember who they went with.

Thanks both! I'm off up to Newcastle on Saturday, because the cruise sails on Sunday - and there's only a two hour window to get on board, early afternoon. Miss that, and yer snookered, as they say
I'm going to stop doing the list on herejust the one day now, so I'll use my phone list (gulp). Though I *have* finally managed to speak with the neighbour, over the bins
, and he's happy to keep an eye on the house again. Victory!
Otherwise, running about. I took the shelves out of the new fridge to clean them, and can't figure out how to put them back in :rotfl: of such domestic events, our days are made :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
What a pain about the charges for the apartment. Management charges seem as much of an issue in France as they are here. My eldest DD has an apartment in Bristol and last year the management company doubled the service charges due to the building needing painting on the outside. No reserve fund apparently to allow for this to be done so they charge it all in one year with no notice. Doesn’t help though that there is no residents committee to voice any opposition although my DD tried to start one. Mostly young professionals who rent rather than own so I guess they might notice when their rent increases. My DD is one of the few who owns hers.

Don't knock brochures - we have started to look at what antipodean things we want to do and the brochures are invaluable. It is a couple of months too early really but we can draw up a list of must, should, could dos and how options (cruise, fly, train, motorhome, solo, group, organised or freestyle). So many options...

Seriously though, I like the "tens" list on TripA, but the rest, I just find it overwhelming - its probably because I've had to cram it into two days!Have a lovely time if I don't "see" you before you goapple_muncher wrote: »Happy travelling oop norf.
