Bl**dy typical!!!!! You all come on here to read about mould and leave me to tell KC off :rotfl:.
Hope the remaining bit is sorted soon KC, it's more important than faffing about doing anything else, pleasurable though that might be. Apart from cruise booking, I heartily approve of that :T. I knew you were planning on doing it, didn't realise you'd actually done it. Well done

Thank you all :hello::hello::hello: for your concern and your input.Suffolk_lass wrote: »If it is in the bathroom, we found the best thing is to render over the bricks, rather than plaster over them. It is a more permanent solution and won't crack with moisture. I also use some pink spray called kilrock spray-gel descaler to remove any semblance of discolouration on the silicon seals in the shower. That and a bleach spray stops any soap-scum building up too (which harbours the spores that cause mould). I have to be quite careful as I am very allergic to moulds, spores and fungusDidn't realise you had a current diary, Karmacat.

2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Wow. So, before I started work on cleaning the mould, I wanted to do the thing on my list that I'd scheduled for today: checking up on the £60 Amazon voucher from Three that was on offer via this website. Really good job I did - I used their live chat, and they knew about the offer, but couldn't make it happen. Just ... can't do it. I said that wasn't acceptable, I went back and forth with another department, still on live chat, told them the feedback I'd be giving on moneysavingexpert, which always values feedback on how deals turn out, and they requested to ring me, rather than speak on live chat. They owed me £60 Amazon.
There may be a good resolution. They've given me a complaint reference number, and sent me three texts, and say that £80 will be applied to my account to be used up for my monthly payment to them. Of course, I had an email promising a £60 Amazon voucher, so we'll see. But it may be a good resolution. My next bill is due on 16th Feb, so I'll see whatever credit they've applied by then.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Oh, and Three wanted to charge me £10 for a chat transcript. Never had that - so I kept the connection going, even though they'd ended the chat at their end, and kept pressing PrintScreen to save the most important bits. If I ever need to contact them again, I'll do it as I'm waiting for the person at the other end to answer, there's always plenty of time spare. I'll do it on any live chat in future, actually, if that's the way the wind's blowing.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Wow - £10 for a transcript of the chat? That's disgusting! Well done for avoiding that and *hopefully* getting a good resolution to your missing voucher - I imagine credit on your account might be better? (I mean, it's not great for buying more boxed sets, but....
)

I'm not Daisy, sadly - it looks like its on Fox TV in this country? Not sure - I don't have any paid-for channels (I've only recently started up a tv licence again!) but I might have a hunt around on youtube to see whats what. Is it something you'd recommend? I recognise a *lot* of names in the cast list on imdb
it looks good.
Yes it is really good. Much more 'realistic' than any of the star treks where everyone is altruistic and almost perfect (nothing wrong with that - i love TOS, NG, DS9 and voyager). In this reality they annoy each other and are more 'normal'. I'm not explaining it very well. It's not laugh out loud funny every 2 minutes like an American sitcom, much more British in terms of the humour, and really good stories too. I recommend if you get a chance tof see it. :T

Daisy, thanks, I'll remember to keep looking for that.
SB bonus came up today finally - 187 points, hurray. Since I don't have the big Amazon voucher coming up now from Threemaybe I'll just put it all to Amazon - got to make sure I get the most economical voucher though.
Feel better than I have in weeks - sorted out a few of the things that have been going on behind the scenes. I was determined not to take the initiative in sorting this time, and it seems to have worked :j
I cleared the mould:D:D :bdaycake: all around for everyone
Before that, I cleaned, and after that I had the longest hot shower you can imagine :j
I even did a bit of scanning, and while I was doing that, I also managed to transcribe a few letters for genealogy - written 95 years ago, very romantic too.
So this evening, I have two rewards: I'm not bothering with setting my phone or laptop to watch SB videos :cool: and I've made the frugal brownie recipe that's on here - I used to do it once a month or so, so its yummy to have it again2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
