I got a few pairs of black winter work trousers out of the wardrobe this week (not admitting how many as too embarrassed) and all the ones with a button waist are either hanging off me or tight round the waist and look like my Dad's round the hips and legs. I found some jersey ones that are not too bad but I realised my wardrobe has trousers in 4 sizes, 3 styles (and several colours) and none of them fit me! Even two pairs of the same style and size don't fit the same!

Sorry CBC, I hope you didn't think I was casting aspersions about your home - that wasn't what I meant at all! Our house is unfinished too - you get used to living with it, but it doesn't mean you want others to see it like that, I know.

Karma - rabbit sounds very cool - I've always paid little attention to them, I have to admit, but 'yours' sounds like he(?) has a personality :)

I feel awful now, themadvix:o. I wasn't clarifying my situation in direct response to anyone's comments, honestly. I'm really sorry if it appeared that I'd taken umbrage or upset you in any way. I just felt I should try to explain as I seem to have been rabbiting on a lot about my home not being fit for anyone to be invited in.

It's true, you do get used it being in a state of chaos even though it isn't easy to live that way:o. I know for a fact that had my late mother been alive and seen it in it's current state she would have had plenty to say:eek:. Truthful and blunt to a fault her comments would not have been remotely consoling but along the lines of '' it's not normal for anyone to live like this. Why don't you do something about it?'' . The reasons that it's been ongoing for so long are very complicated:(

Isn't shopping weird! I have loads of tops of various sorts, but comparatively few bottoms :) I *did* buy a pair yesterday though :) size 12 (modern version!), fairly high waisted, and they fit really well. A bit too well, if you ask me :rotfl: but I'm so used to loose clothes, my senses have gone a bit awry! When I see myself in a shop window, I look a sight, but I look fine in these trousers - Trespass, £28 :)

He does! He knows he's a rabbit, and the previous one thought he was human, but this one's still a personality, yep :) He decides which bit of the carpet to eat (which is why I have to be there to let him out of the run), he decides where he wants things in the run (the triangular litter box does *not* go in the corner, where it naturally fits, it goes in the middle), and particular pieces of cardboard are in favour at any one time :rotfl: I went in there after going for a walk near pretty long grass and ferns and whatnot, and he lurved my jeans and my shoes :rotfl:

Our houses are presentations of ourselves - when they're out of kilter with our selves, we hate it! But this is all just internet chattiness, CBC, it's not make or break, and the chat is all supportive on this thread and on this board - and nearly always, on this whole forum (some bits sound scary! I wouldn't go there!) Nobody's taken umbrage, I'm sure.

Except possibly my nephew :(:(:( who never replied to my email suggesting I meet them at the airport while they waited for his in-laws to arrive :( since he called himself an exhausted zombie when he signed off, I'm still hoping it's just tiredness. I'll email him tomorrow.

**No** offence taken at all CBC, I was entirely worried that it was the opposite!!

Rabbit sounds so lovely Karma and I'm sure your nephew is probably just exhausted/has read and mentally agreed but not actually replied. Meeting at the airport sounds like a great idea tbh and probably more convenient for them - less to fit in and baby changing facilities on hand (new parent friend highlighted that this is more helpful than necessarily being at someone's house the other day). Hope you hear from him soon.

    You were right :j:j:j

He literally didn't have time to send an email, and I think that might be a piece of learning for him :rotfl: When I've woken up, I'll attend to that. I'm late starting today :rotfl: my list is to come.

    Aww, madvix :kisses3:

I've had a very odd day today - such a late start is completely weird for me. Did some emails, and I've been backing up new bits on the computer. Couple of loads in the w/m. I'm just off to do a bit of cleaning and then spray bug killer around my bedroom. I had a biiiiig unwanted visitor last night that sent my adrenalin spiking through the roof :shhh:

The mind boggles about your unwelcome visitor:eek:. I hope it and any friends it was planning to bring next time have realised they're not welcome.

I think it was on here that we chatted about YouGov (we've mentioned most things over the years) and I seem to recall Beanie? mentioning receiving a £50 YouGov payout fairly recently.

I've finally requested a payout as I've hit the elusive £50 mark after having to go through so many hoops to reach it:mad:. I was stuck on 4960 points for months and never received a survey invitation. After a lot of digging I realised that some PlusNet customers were not getting YouGov emails for some reason. That's very odd as I've been with PlusNet for a couple of years and never had any problems until this spring. PlusNet couldn't help even though I checked my settings and privacy levels which I hadn't tinkered with anyway. YouGov told me that they still have unresolved issues with PlusNet accounts. YouGov also told me that because I hadn't responded to emails for so long (which I couldn't as I never received them in the first place:mad:) and it looked as if my email address was unused they had marked my account as dormant:eek:. I'm glad I contacted them because they reinstated my account and my accrued points remained intact:j. I'd have been incandescent had they been lost.

Since then I have had 2 survey invitations, have now passed the redemption level and claimed my money:j. I'm seriously considering unsubscribing from YouGov when I eventually receive the money though as according to my records my last redemption was in September 2015:(. That's an awfully long time, given that the previous one only took 13 months. I know there have been missing emails this year but it's still an unacceptably long time to accrue the points:(.. I'm obviously not the type of demographic that interests them.
