Hi Money....just a quickie re the CACI......no you have to have a monthly maintenance treatment otherwise you will undo the good of the original treatment. Without it you would be back to square One.
Do your own facial exercises as well by all means to supplement the treatments but they would need to be in addition to rather than instead of.
As I said, an investment in both time and money.
Most salons will do a taster offer. One trial treatment. The initial lifting effect will last a couple of days, long enough to give you a good idea of whether or not you think it is worth it for you.
The biggest tip I can give anyone who wants to look the best they can be - after all the obvious stuff like losing weight, getting a good hair cut, investing In some nice clothes - is to really take care of your skin.
Good skin care and a judicious use of make up can work wonders0 -
Good morning lovely ladies.....
Yesterday. I had a very productive day.....took 5 large bags of stuff to the charity shop. Whilst there I bought a lovely large mirror for my hall, brand new £10. It would have been around £100 retail. I also bought 2 little paintings and 2 new tops. They were on bogoff ......some great bargains.
Not sure about today. I intended doing a tip run but it is currently raining (again) so I might just continue with some more decluttering and bag it up for now. And then a nice little pamper session. I have a massage booked for tomorrow.
Have a great day everyone.0 -
Hi all,
I have finally got round to booking my facial for next Friday. :j My mum is going to watch DS for a couple of hours so I can go home & relax for a bit afterwards.
Have also finally booked an eye test, it's been about 5 or 6 years since I had one.Basically since I had laser eye surgery then.
Had a really stressful day yesterday as took my small cat to the vet (same cat that bit me last week) as she wasn't eating & had thrown up plastic she had eaten. They ended up having to do surgery & remove 6 inches of her small intestine due to another piece of plastic being stuck & she might still not survive. We also somehow forgot to get her insured after cancelling her last insurance renewal so are looking at a huge bill, at least £800. Not really what we need right now.

Back from my weekend break.
You've obviously been having a good old chat while I've been away. I will catch up but sorry if I've missed the news.:)
Although I was attending a conference, I did have time for my favourite people watching!:D I know not everyone is interested in clothes or make up but it always surprises me how little some people do to make the best of themselves.
Smart casual was the dress code for the weekend. I took 2 pairs of black jeans and black leggings for relaxing in the hotel. With those I wore a variety of tops. For restaurants it was mostly my Red Herring jumpers and black ballet pumps as we were walking everywhere. I did take some smart blouses too but weather wasn't good enough for those.:(
I found a branch of Kiku and bought some eye cream. I've used it a couple of times and it's rich and creamy. Price wasn't far off Clinique though but I think it may be a slightly larger pot.
Today I have to catch up with laundry and do a little food shopping to see us through to the weekend. Raining here too.:(0 -
Maman I do enjoy your observations of ‘people watching’. I’m sure you were the best dressed person at the event.
Sashy ouch for the vet bill. I hope your car is going to be okay. Enjoy your facial.
Lessons well done with the home fabbing.
I’m off work tomorrow and will be spending the day with the children. I’m really busy at work, so I could have done with cracking on with work.
I’ve been job hunting and I applied for two jobs today. I really need to sit down and prepare some application templates, but I don’t have time at the moment, so I had to rush through a couple as they were due to close soon.
I’ve been excitedly planning my new work wardrobe for when I get a new job. I’ve nearly finished putting up my new wardrobe, so I will be able to have a proper sort though of all my clothes. I want to get a couple of dresseses, skirts, tops and trousers.0 -
I have just got back from a trip to IKEA (they close at 10pm). We needed to buy the shelves and drawers for our wardrobes and I want to get cracking with fitting them tomorrow. I would have gone tomorrow, but I have to take OHs car to the garage and leave it there. This means that me and the children will have a long journey back home as there are no direct routes. The children are looking forward to taking public transport as they dont do it very often.
We will have to go home through town, so I will have a small window of opportunity to do some errands before the children kick off with boredom.0 -
I weighed myself tonight and the results aren't pretty - I'm over a stone heavier than my feel good weight  I knew I'd put on weight but didn't realise it was that much. And due to my massive wardrobe cull fairly recently, pretty much all my clothes are very tight
definitely not being fab at the moment. So healthier eating and more exercise starts tomorrow.
Loving reading the thread even though I haven't posted much recently. Outfit is picked out for tomorrow, one of my looser long tops over leggings and black pumps. I'm going to phone and book myself in for a haircut as it's long overdue and it will give me a wee boostMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

MissTara don!!!8217;t beat yourself up about the weight gain and keep positive about getting to goal in the future. You sound like you are doing all the right things, like picking out your clothes for tomorrow and getting your hair done.
I decided at approx 11:45pm to start building the drawers for my wardrobe. I managed to get them finished and started to sort through my clothes and put them in the wardrobe.0 -
Well - I've bought myself a bit of make-up. Now let's see whether I actually get to use it...
There was an article today of someone that had lost a fair bit of weight. It was a man this time. The first picture was a blob basically with small eyes. The second picture was his "best possible figure" and his face looked way better than in the first picture - eg his eyes had gone from "where are they?" level to pretty standard size and were rather more visible. I guess all the fat had "hidden" his eyes and apparently reduced the size of them.
That encouraged me - at mildly overweight (ie most people don't agree I am - but I know I am....) - as I was wondering whether my eyes will go from standard size back to big with the weight loss. Certainly expect to get my cheekbones back.....
Think the power walking exercise videos are starting to have an effect:D. Fingers crossed...and I'll be able to see exactly what I've got to "work with" once that two stones no-one else admits I have has gone....
I've been checking out White Stuff clothing brand and earmarking a few items I want (if they're still available) once I get to "proper weight".0 -
Hello Ladies,
My health has not been too good over the last week, so I have been taking it really easy, with lots of rest and sleep. It has made little difference, as I am still in quite a lot of pain and totally exhausted so much of the time.
I was supposed to be going to Birmingham for this weekend but I had to cancel my trip.Luckily my advance train tickets had only cost me £12, so not too much of a disaster.
I phoned the ESA department again today and it was then explained to me that a Mandatory Reconsideration has to be in writing, with lots of detail about each category of my health assessment. I will tackle it over the weekend, as it is going to take me a while to 'type' up all of my objections and reasons as to why the Doctor was wrong to score me zero.
On the mobility front, the Doctor had conceded that I had issues and impairment in my leg joints, hip joints and other joints. He then goes on to recommend that I should have an NHS wheelchair to increase my mobility. :rotfl: He also recommends me getting my future employer to allow me to leave the wheelchair at work!!!!
Thank goodness it is my birthday on the 15th, as the birthday money I receive will have to join the household shopping fund.We will be able to get by until my daughter gets paid at the end of April.
Chanie well done on getting your new wardrobe assembled so quickly and sorting your new clothes out for your new job in the future. It will certainly make your life more easier being so organised.0
