    Hi all,

Glad you're having a good time LL.

savingfortomorrow glad to hear you had a nicer time with this hairdresser. I don't understand why some people are so off sometimes, I've had that attitude in some places as though I'm not good enough to spend my money there. Silly really as it means you don't go back and usually tell other people to avoid too.

sugarbaby sorry to hear about your daughter, hopefully she won't need to spend too long in the hospital.

maman I love the look of other women's nails when they're all done but I'm just too lazy to bother getting it done. I had acrylics done for my wedding and they were lovely but I couldn't be bothered with the in-fills and removal etc. I also found it made my own nails quite weak. I've never tried Shellac though, normal nail polish is rubbish for me as I chip it within 10 seconds. :o

I skipped yoga last night as DS was waking up every hour the night before & DH not well and I was exhausted. Did it tonight though and glad I forced myself to - it's generally only 20 mins, if I can sit on here for 20 mins I can do a bit of yoga.

Off to the chiropractor tomorrow to get re-aligned, can feel that my pelvis is a bit out again and am getting a bit of sciatic pain which is not pleasant.

Have been reading money diaries and finding it quite interesting to see what other people spend their money on.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.
  • Morning, not been on for a while as I'm still struck down with this lurgy! I feel awful today, far from fab.

I think I need to start from February and just write January off, a Fab Feb sounds alright eh?

Nails, I do my own, they grow very quickly and are strong, I use a little oil every night, just rub into the cuticles. I only use cheap polish but use Revlon 1 minute topcoat and my home manicure last a good week, people never believe my nails are real.

My toenails however, utterly grim! Must do something about them old hobbity toes.
  • Hello Ladies,

Maman, thank you for the hugs and for your support on my spending diary. It is much appreciated :)

LuxuryWoman I wish my nails were as healthy and strong as yours. I do not paint my nails very often as I have never mastered the art of doing so. I mostly just put clear nail polish on them, as this is a quick alternative.

I went to Karaoke last night, even though I was having pain in my joints and some of my muscles. I could not stand up and dance, but I had a really good evening though. I took 4 painkillers when I was at Karaoke and once they became effective I was able to enjoy myself.

I wore perfume and layered it with the matching body lotion, The only make up I used was clear lip gloss.

Sashybo those money diaries are a fascinating read
  • Hi,
I need some advice but I do not know where to write it :)
Would be grateful if you can help me.
I am going to choose a pram for my baby tomorrow. I love the way Venicci looks like. What do you think about this brand? Do you have this pram already?

    THX :)

    Hi Ladies,

Please may I join in your fab challenge?

I will be turning 50 in September and i would like to look and feel fab. I feel frumpy, tired and fat. :(

My plan to become fab is:

    Lose 2 stone.
    Get more active.
    Eat more healthy.
    Reduce my alcohol consumption.
Leave work stress in work at the end of each day.
Wear make-up and perfume everyday (something I currently don't do)

I would also like to go blond for my birthday and have my make up done professionally.

Hi, you must be my long lost twin - I too am 50 in September! Shall we be fab buddies? :)

It's just practice, I hadn't done my nails in many years but when LuxuryMan left (or got booted!) I decided to spend some time on me, now I have it down to a fine art and never have unpainted nails, I'm into funky colours too that he wouldn't have approved of, I love Emerald Green! Small steps to reclaiming me. I also wear a diamond in my top ear piercing which he hated. Late life punk!

    Hi there,

I have been a long time lurker on these boards and a fan of martin since he was on the sky channel 'simply money' around 2001, but have never had the courage to post.

Your thread and word for 2018 have inspired me to do so and my word is courage.

My goal for 2018 is to try new things and not fear rejection.

It has been lovely reading all your stories and thank you all for sharing them.
