Good Morning,
Lovely sunny start here - really getting used to the sunshine!
Have sat out in our garden more times this year than we did the whole of last year, long may it continue. Seriously considering wearing shorts today.
Got a pile of ironing waiting for me though as hate ironing in the heat. Should do it this morning before the sun hits the livingroom but will see.
Hope everyone has a lovely day. Good Luck to all.

:hello: Good morning everyone
It's another beautiful start to the day here & is expected
to be very warm
.... although rain's due (hopefully) through the night and
tomorrow. :j The garden could really do with a good
soaking now, it's as dry as a bone!
Phew! I was working out there all day yesterday, mowed
the lawns, pruned various shrubs including my camellias (now
they've finished flowering), did loads of weeding - all in
all it was a really productive & satisfying day!:jjust had a wem from housebeautiful :j..
You recently entered our HouseBeautiful Competitions competition and have won:
Roundup weeding bundle
...
def keeping this prize for the gardens here
:T Big congrats fire**fly - wonderful prize! Don't blame you
for keeping hold of this excellent gardening bundle! :T :j
Could have done with Roundup goodies yesterday.
Aww - love turtles & tortoises.

Love all the turtle pics and info thanks Alfie.
We saw a huge turtle at Blackpool Sealife Centre when we were there.
She was just there until a bigger tank was made for her and another one at Brighton as they had outgrown their tank. Seemingly she was brought to UK to make a commercial 70 odd years ago and they couldn't release her later as they didn't know which area she came from which is sad.
They said she plays with the divers when they go into the tank and loves humans.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

I am really looking forward to lunch. Cousin who works on a beauty counter in Boots is bringing me up my fav Coronation Chicken salad. She also has a load of perfume/cosmetic samples for me that she got from the other beauty counters. Love getting samples from her saves me a fortune. Give some to my DIL as well as I do not wear all colours and perfumes. Some of the ones she gets are actually quite near full size cosmetics and have had full size perfume sprays that are normally used on counter for peeps to try out.0

Morning everyone. Dull and overcast again here this morning. Hopefully it will clear and we will see sunshine by mid morning like yesterday. Bit stiff and sore this morning so waiting until later to start exercises that I have to do. Hopefully it will ease off. Think it is just the lying still in one position all night that causes it. Kettle is calling me. Hope everyone is well.0

Sun shining away here already. I am just loving this weather.
Hope sun is out for you soon rose and please get it sorted out for our visit at the weekend! Hope you feel better later.
Did do all my ironing early yesterday which was a good idea as it did get really hot by afternoon. Front of house gets sun in morning and back gets it in afternoon - the difference in temperature is amazing. House has been designed well as bedrooms get sun in morning and living room in afternoon.
Family all met up at DS2s yesterday and had glorious sunshine which would be lovely as he lives in the countryside. They sent through some lovely pics. DS3 and DD coming back today and DS1 flies back to Sydney early tomorrow morning. His GF might take some persuasion as she has fallen in love with "bonnie Scotland" She would soon go back after a bad spell of weather!
Don't know how you manage to garden all day in the heat Alfie. DH and I can only do an hour at the very most as it is exhausting.
Have you kept your little breeze FF?
Must get on with some comps. Don't know what has happened to the MDs there are hardly any I want to enter these days.
Have a lucky day.

Will try and sort it out for you shiels. It just seems to be cloudy in the early morning. Last couple of days by about 10/1030am sun has been shining and it has been really warm. Forecast seems that it will be even warmer at the weekend. Hopefully it will as neighbour is pulling out all the BBQ equipment. So there will be food and alcohol this weekend. I am staying of painkillers so that I can have a tipple along with everyone else. Have said that I will make a big bowl of coleslaw and potato salad. Neighbour is going to pick up ingredients I need. Neighbours hubby has dropped me in a newspaper and some morning rolls. I am so gratefull he works night shift. So he nips in to shop every morning on his way home.0

:hello: Good morning everyone
Hope you're all in fine fettle on this bright n' breezy
Thursday!
I may have to think about participating in a rain dance
soon, if that's ok with everyone? I'll do my best to make
sure the wet stuff arrives over my way, unless anyone else
could do with some! Fire**fly?
Even though yesterday evening became eerily dark - no
storm was forthcoming. Boo! Just been out to give the tubs
a good splash of water - fingers n' paws crossed for rain
today, I'm sure I can smell it in the air!Love all the turtle pics and info thanks Alfie.

Many thanks fire**fly/sheils re turtles and thank you sheils
for sharing your story. :T
I can remember when the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' were
all the rage years ago. Sadly baby turtles were bought for
'children' as pets/playthings. _pale_ The kids quickly became
bored/disillusioned by them and the little turtles were cruelly
dumped in the nearest ponds, rivers etc.
It was lovely to find the following good news story related
to the above ....

Hope you had an enjoyable meal yesterday rose. Your cousin
is an absolute star! :A
