    :hello: Hi all!

Phew! It's a beautiful day here but rather warm! orangesun.gif

    vil2_calor.gif

Just back from doing a bit of town shopping for little GDs.
Thought I would go in today because when it's warm, people
tend to avoid town (I can understand why!). The place was
more or less deserted and I managed to purchase quite a
few bits n' bobs for the weeny ones. :j

Window cleaner called too just as I'd returned home so that
was excellent timing. As per usual we spent a good hour or
so putting the world to rights! :p

Goodness neighbour has been brought home by hubby from work via hospital. She tripped when she got off the bus and fractured her ankle so she is now in plaster and on crutches. Well that is two of us out of action lol wonder who's next?

 So sorry to hear about your lovely neighbour's accident
rose! _pale_ Sending you both (((hugs))) and get well wishes. x
I agree with others - you are slowly but surely getting better
rose - you just have to be a very patient patient, iyswim! :p
I can understand how you feel though, you're very similar to me,
    fiercely independent!

Sounds as if you've been having a grand time with the family
sheils! :j It's certainly a busy time at yours this May! :D

Have a lovely rest of the day all and please take care whatever
    your plans.

Morning everyone. Sun is shining here. Have aquired two bar type stools. Saw them in the British Heart Foundation shop yesterday. Got them for £10. Sent one round to neighbour. So I am now able to sit in kitchen and cook etc and not just stick things in oven. Neighbour thought I was off my head when I phoned her to say I was sending one round to her but she now sees the logic. Instead of her standing on one leg with her crutches she can sit and potter. Once we are done with them they can go back to charity shop. DIL also thought I was going loopy as she has similar type stools around the breakfast bar and would never have thought of using them like that lol. Anyway hope everyone is well. Be lucky peeps.

Good to hear your glitter pens arrived ff. I had a can of whisky and lime turn up yesterday and like everyone else it was wrapped up so much it took ages to get it open, lol. I don't drink whisky but son and GF had it last night, they enjoyed it. I am popping to local market this morning for a look round. Hope you all have a lucky day.

A bit dull here too. Managed to sleep longer than 5am this morning.

Great idea about the stools Rose.

Sheils that is a great trip your DSs are taking. Has your DS1s GF been to Scotland before? Do hope the weather is clear for them. Beautiful scenery.

Indie well done on the Whiskey drink. Enjoy your day off.

Reminds me I had a freebie razor turn up yesterday. Well done on glitter pens Firefly.

Alfie great you were able to shop without crowds for your GDs. thanks for the coffee. Just having one here.

Strange conversation here yesterday. I say to DH just found a comp for Rolling Stones on Tw but who likes them. He says I do and would love to go. First I have heard of this after 45 years. He is big on Jazz. So we enter comp. Next thing I know he cannot stop laughing reading something off the laptop. He had written to a football friend asking if he would be free on the day of the concert and the friend replied with six quotes from Rolling Stones saying he would love to go if we won. I said hold on a minute I have not won much lately so it is highly unlikely we win. DHs reply was well it is about time you did.

Reminded us of years ago of DD1s only competition entry. She must have been nearly 17. She went in for tickets to a Wembley football match with the Evening Standard. She asked her football friend to go with her if she won. DH and DD2 had gone away. One morning there was screaming in the hall. The postman had brought the tickets. She phoned her friend who to her dismay her mother had booked them to go on holiday that day. DD was so convinced she was going to win. She could not find anyone else to go so in the end took our DS who was not too keen to go and I worried all day about them. He was only 13.

It is hard trying to write without using apostrophes.

Hope everyone has a good day. Hugs if you need one.

Just had a box delivered for GS. DIL is going to pick it up when she collects GK's from school. Well at least one of us is winning. Which reminds me must search for comps for kiddywinks as I with one thing and another have not done so for a while. Nice little surprise for him. (just to add I was shouting at delivery guy the door is open as it was taking me an age to get to it. He gave me a strange look until he realised I couldn't walk very well:laugh:)

Morning peeps. Looks as if it is going to be another sunny day here. DIL is dropping in this morning with bread and milk and have asked her to see if she can get me some strawberry tarts from Greggs. She is also going to take away my ironing. Told her not to worry about it as I have enough clothes to last me for months but she insisted. (she actually enjoys ironing) . Hope I find you all well. Be lucky.
