Love Forget-Me-Nots leanfun. I quite often find new plants
sprouting every year, it's quite exciting (except when they
turn out to be weeds!). I've got loads of dandelions at the
mo but am reluctant to get rid of them because they're a
good early source of nectar & pollen for insects. I don't
leave then until they go to seed though because I would
end up being inundated with them! :eek:

Guess what I am doing later? Going out for dinner with DS, DIL and GKs. This is going to be fun and games lol. DS has got me clothes out of wardrobe so just need a wash down and hair sorted. Tricky part is going to be getting dressed. Luckily we are only going more or less across the road to have meal. So they can wheel me over there. Can dress top half and wash no problem but getting bottom half sorted is tricky and sore. Have been living in nightshirts and anything that is easy over my head but pulling up trousers or getting skirts, tights on is a problem. Will be sooooooo glad when it is healed. Never felt so useless in my life. Have another hospital appointment next week with xrays to see if I can start physio. Neighbour brought me in milk, newspaper and a bacon roll this morning which was like nectar and she made me a fab cuppa. Have been using cushion raiser thing that gets me up and down a bet from chair to get water to fill kettle etc. Can also do simple things at cooker like heating things up. Neighbour cannot believe how I can find a lot of things funny. (must just be my sense of humour.) Friend is coming over tomorrow for a while so we can have a catch up. Pity she stays so far away as we always seem to cheer one and another up. Alfie enjoy your gardening. One of my neighbours is looking after all my tubs and they are looking well. Just hope I am ok to sort them out for summer bedding. Take care peeps and enjoy your holiday weekend.

Haha Alfie - never heard of that before! Won't be participating either.

Just had quick message from DD as she boarded plane, asking what "their" Netflix password was as we sometimes use it. Think they must get Netflix on the plane. That sounds good. Hope she got my reply in time, although I'm sure her bf will remember as it is his password!

Hope you have nice meal out rose. Everywhere is so busy with tourists here today with it being bank holiday. One of the main eating places is shut for a week too (where DD and BF work) so the other places will be pandemonium.

I am off shortly to get washed and dressed for tonight. Dil's mum wants to know if I am ok. I am ok. Can sort myself out one way or another. Can get about house ok with chair (wide doors etc) House was built in 1898 so have wide doors and not he narrow ones you have with modern houses. Rooms are also big. Could put two three piece suites in there and not be crowded. Bathroom is also big and was only a toilet and two cupboards when house was built. Most toilets were only outside then if you had one. My loo is approx 10x12 so when I fitted a shower in there years ago it was not a problem, My bedroom which my DS keeps trying to get me to cut down in size I love and wont do it. He will do it when I am gone to increase the bedroom size of the house. When I fitted wardrobes and an ensuite in there it did not change much. He now accepts I do not do money but comfort and what I like. He also know if I really want lot of money to do something I will sell and if it comes to me doing being dolally(spelling?) it will go to pay for my care.

Hope all goes well with your preparations Rose. I expect your DS had a shock when he came home. Do hope you all have a great evening. You are doing wonderfully just take it slowly. Plenty of time to get ready and then rest up ready for going out.

Ho Alfie. It must be catching. Like Sheils I will not be participating. I saw a comp for a bench that said suitable when you were gardening like that.

Sheils pleased DD flew off ok.

lol leanfun I am showered now just trying to sort everything out. Looking at clothes but DIL is going to come round around 5pm and help me out. I am blooming fed up with this GK's do not like it and GD is getting upset again so have to be OK for her. DS keeps saying mum I will help you but goodness as a mum do not want him trying to dress me. Maybe it is me but what the hell do not want him dressing me. My dad did it with his mum and we pushed him away and did it. Dressed Nana. Suppose it is a Dignaty thing. When it comes to that I just want to look ok and not as if I have been dressed like god knows what. I will have a good evening thankyou.

morning alfie did not realise it was dawn chorus day. Mr seagull is in full voice here and really annoying me. had a fab meal last night and son will be off again in his submarine shortly. hope everyone is well this morning take care peeps. Keep your chin up
