What car do I want?

Using the HJ chooser and selecting low tax, economical, petrol, 5 stars and 4wd still gives 12 different models
You're going to have to do some shopping around, and a few test drives..0 -
If you're happy with just two seats and not much luggage space, a Mazda MX5 is a lot of fun for not much money, and top of the range brand new with retractable roof is only half your budget. Some models come with heated seats - mine does. The only item I see on your list that you won't get with an MX5 is four wheel drive!I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

Well there's another thing you left out of your list of criteria then.
If you want 4wd, and a soft top, that leaves you with BMW, and Audi, unless they're doing a Mercedes 4-matic cabrio now.
But, if you want a sunroof (and your criteria are *pretty* woolly) then there's others.0 -

(I did a consumer test on the Toyota RX, probably 20 years ago now, and they were fixated on cupholders. They didn't seem interested that we couldn't work the seat folding mechanism).
2 - 5 seats. Is that really that you only expect to carry a second person max, but don't really fancy a sports car?
We seem to have dismissed 4x4s by style, so the only one to suggest there is something like the Audi Q3 - unique styling that avoids being off-roading while still doing the SUV bit.
OH has a SUV with 4x4 capability when the weather is bad, so 4x4 isn't ESSENTIAL, just a nice to have...:A Goddess :A0 -

Either that or a BMW xDrive cabrio, or an Audi something-Quattro.
Ill have a look at the BMW and Audi....thanks:A Goddess :A0 -

I prefer hard top convertibles really, but wouldn't rule out a soft top if everything else was a *fit*
OH car has a glass double sliding roof which is almost as good as a hard top convertible.......:A Goddess :A0 -

There are a whole load of criteria you can choose on the honest john tool
https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/chooser/......
If you rummage around autotrader you can add oddities like heated seats to the search tool under 'more details.' I just tried for you and ... 247,582 cars found!
Yes....thats far too many to try and whittle down!!:A Goddess :A0 -
