It's amazing what a good nights sleep can do and your hubby sounds lovely and understanding telling you to slow down. Nice to see you're sticking to the rules with regard to your own money :T I'm sure the re-gifted wine will be just as much appreciated as anything else you would have bought - possibly more ;)

I've tried a few crafts but never needle felting, you'll have to let me know how you get on with it.

Looking at your list, doesn't it make you feel better seeing everything written down and know what you're supposed to be doing. I do love a good list. :)

I think getting out the house has done my mental health world of good. Nipped to see my bestie and her new house abd to collect screwfix 8p order. I'm really sure abd tired now but it's nice to partake in real life outside.

Just waiting for a lovely hotpot I've made today. Going to order some felting bits out of my spends and watch some you tube videos for inspiration abd instruction. Thank you fir the offer Aaleigha that'd be fab. There is a lady running a days course locally in couple of weeks but it's £55. I'd love to, but can't commit as don't know if it'll be a good day or bad. I'm going order the kit tonight instead as a lot cheaper.

We managed a non spend day whoooo number 2 of the month. The screwfix 8p order was paid the other day. I was so tempted to have a mcd's milkshake as never don't pass it often. The focus stayed strong and our wallet and waists are better for it.

WooHoo :j You've broken that £16k barrier. You'll be under £15k in no time. Bet that's given you a real boost hasn't it. x
  • It sure has I'm so chuffed but itching to get it done quicker. If we only manage the repayments and £100 on credit card this year it'll be down to £11400 by Christmas. I'm hoping for £7500 off this year but it'll be a struggle.

It got me thinking about the mortgages too. This month should see us under 100k on the big one. That is something to definitely to celebrate. I can't wait until we're debt free so we can get mortgages cut down.

  • I hope so Aaleigha, but where's there's a high there's a low. Logged on to banking this morning abd the mortgage has gone and pushed me into the overdraft by £72. Gutted! I've immediately transferred £100 out EF, but it's already happened. Kicking myself as should have realised yesterday. Damn it!

I kept the OD for such occasions as me having brain fart. It's free and only in it for matter of hours, but I'm still cross with myself. I've received the remittance advice for letting agent so that will arrive in next day or so.

Today is another lazy day of Yahtzee, monolopy and a little maintenance tidying.

Spending wise I'm trying to keep hubby out village shop. He's obsessed with bread and running out. We're having cheese and crackers for lunch to eat Xmas leftovers and prawn cocktail salad. Very random, but determined to keep food waste to zero.

I'm going to meal plan and do Aldi shop over weekend. I'm going to make the spaghetti Bol today for tomorrow abd freeze excess. Sunday is an Iceland cheat roast (one if the 4for£10 pork rolls)

I might even speak to hubby abd see if we can push shop to Monday night as have enough to be using up! I've shep pie in freezer for Monday night. I know he won't feel like it after day at work, but gives me few 'free' days. If he agrees then we can nip to village shop over weekend for bread and milk.

I'm feeling really groggy this this morning, hence the long rambling post. I do find posting good therapy though.

Afternoon Choccygirl. Blimey, Yahtzee brought back memories. Wouldn't have a clue how to play it now but used to play it loads when I was a nipper. We have phases of Monopoly that go on for days then we don't get it out again for months. Playing board games with the DC's is one of the best memories I think I'll have. Lots of fun. :)

I think your lunch sounds lovely actually. We're having a bit of a cheese fest here at the moment. We don't eat that much usually but the Christmas cheeseboard seems to have kick started an addiction.

Agree with the daily posting, it's definitely therapeutic getting stuff down in black and white.

    Have a great day. x

Yahtzee is a family favourite as quick and easy. Monolopy is my favourite but we have to play in the conservatory as games do go on forever.

I've blitzed spare room, stripped sofa bed, sorted out junk, sorted out sone old duvets for bin, tidying up craft stuff and it looks a lot better. Hubby going to put junk in back of car and take it to the tip. There's an old unit that's seen better days.

I'll be honest I think I've done too much and am in a lot pain. I was going to have long bath, but took morphine abd come back to bed. Hubby taken kids abd dog out for huge walk across the village and around the fields. They're wrapped up warm, as it's so cold out there.

Today will be our 3rd NSD in January so I'm chuffed! Have done meal plan and talked hubby into going shopping tomorrow. We've compromised and he'll buy bread and milk just in case of snow :rotfl:

I'm looking at energy suppliers and holy moly prices are shooting up! My current DD is £80 but new tariff with Scottish power £110. Ouch! Will spend next hour tracking a better deal down whilst in bed....my life is so rock n roll!
