  • I'm trying to get back to normal as quickly as possible and am conscious that i'll be back to work before i know it. House still needs decluttering and gutting, but Rome wasn't built in a day.

We're now up yo our eyes in glasses, so will ask hubby which he likes and wrap up others for the charity shop. DDs accident was a complete nightmare, but she's back to normal and apart from a couple of scars you'd never know it'd happened.

Roll on 2020, looking forward to a lovely new year and fresh start for us all!

  • Didn't post yesterday - what a manic day. Busy, busy but didn't spend a penny! :j It was fat club weigh in and although I maintained this week I'll take that. I managed 10minutes of exercise at the gym which gave me a huge boost, but a lot of pain. It's a bit of a drag driving to the gym and back for such a short time, but my physio is being really strict.

    Yesterday positives
-Took 2 jumpers back to next after DD2 decided they weren't for her. account back to zero!
    - £3.30 on PA surveys, £6.33 withdrawn
    - item sold on eBay £12, so need to wrap, work out postage and move profit to sealed pot account today
    - dinner yesterday spag Bol all from freezer and store cupboard
-heating off all day and only clicked on early hours
    - load of washing dried on the line

Hi CG :) Lots of little positives on that list which all add up. Prolific is really slow at my end this month. Quite a few popping up that I see but they're full when I try to log in. :o

I'd take staying at the same weight as well. :T Do you use a lot of different equipment at the gym? Just wondering if making yourself go for a walk would be good enough for the physio especially if it's a way from where you live?

    Have a lovely day. xx
  • Just on the bike and using weights to tone my upper body at the minute tea. I do like the idea of a walk, but getting out meeting people in gym is worth the drive. It feels like I'm finally getting back on track.

Finally have insurance update about the youngest. They say there's no personal accident part on the insurance so that's a shame but it was worth asking.

They've agreed to pay £1229 which is cool. It covers all the costs and lost clothing items. I've just logged into Zopa and set up an additional £1000 payment which should clear in 3/4 days. Decided to use balance to replace the items she needs.

I'm feeling really positive we're finally making progress. The monthly repayment charge will drop from £99 to £62! Going to round up abd make out payments upto £100. Our debt after this has cleared will be
    Zopa 1 £1794.46
    Zopa 2 £6912.62
    0% cc £1584.00 total £10291.08

The min payment on card rounded up to £50 is paid tomorrow. We're so close to seeing a new number and drop down into single number thousands! It's given me so much motivation to get this debt cracked once and for all!

  • So the debt will currently stand at £10291.08 once extra 1k clears. We're hurtling towards a really spending time of year so rather than start my new year resolution in the new tear I'm going to start it from November's pay day!

It's officially 13 pay days until Christmas 2020 and my aim is to reduce our debt down to £4000. That means we've got to clear an average of £483.77 a month.

It's going to be hard whilst trying to get some savings built back up and keep on track. It's been a bumpy 18months but it's made us both realise we can't keep on the debt roundabout. I think we need a target to aim for because it's so easy to lose focus! It's down in black and white so it's got to be done!
