Arrrrrgh I can't edit posts on my phone!
We'd aimed for £40 which our shopping was just under, but I'd forgotten eldest on their cookery rotation so extra ingredients lists. They're making veggie burgers and I had nothing apart from the salt in the store. 2 tins of chick peas, fresh lemons, zest of 2 lemons, Parmasean cheese and fed other bits and it's ruined my budget! Hey- ho at least it's sorted tomorrow night. I did get two rolls of cello tape for the Christmas wrapping! Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230 -
Had an email to say zopa overpayments have been received, but the reduction hasn't been updated on the website. Will update as soon as it does.
NSD today, available bank balance £366.93Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230 -
Checked bank and available credit £290.73 first thing.
I did spend £25 on a new basket yesterday. Friend selling a beautiful honey pot rattan one which would have been a fortune. It wasn't planned, but hopefully may sell my old one for £5. Just need hubby to pick new one up.
Still surveying like mad and have £19.75 to withdraw for my sealed pot.
Hubby text to say work have paid the £150 course refund back today, which is a complete bonus. Will check back later to make sure.
Hubs also printed off his pay slip the morning and his second part of his pay rise will be paid this month. Not sure how much it is, so looking foreard to that surprise later. Won't be a lot but every £1 helps. Especially as we have to repay the £1075 starting in jan! Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230 -
Refund of course claim has hit the account so I've sent £100 payment for the youngest choccy's school trip. You can pay in one go, but like paying in dribs and drabs. Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230

Starting to feel more in control of the money rather than the money controlling us. I'm enjoying the habit of checking the banks and updating my diary. I find it a great help and like confession.
The two little overpayments have updated on Zopa and I'm gutted! I thought it would make them round numbers, but it hasn't and think that's down to interest. Both are 55p less than I thought. Better less than more I guess:j
Zopa 1 £3889.45
Zopa 2 £9079.45
0% cc £3707.03. Total owed £16675.93
Looking forward to z2 dropping into the 8ks this this month.

Got once bank account shows the balance and available balance. £307.89.
Desperately need to do food shop, but haven't sorted meal plan for week yet. Trying to keep budget as low as possible, as always.
Pay day will soon be here again but know it's a going to be a long month. Money wise I'm still on ssp and hubby overpayments collections are starting 31st Dec. Have quite a few of the kid's presents sorted but need to budget so not over stretching ourselves.
Food wise, we're swapping our normal butchers meat order £120 to supermarkets which should save us around £40. Need to look at where else we can save, think fruit & veg is definitely an area. I'm looking st getting big bag of muddy spuds. Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230 -
Such a busy at yesterday here, there and everywhere with the kids. Managed to squeeze in an lifl shop and kept it as low as we could, as we've been avoiding takeaways for couple of weeks and decided to treat the kids. Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230

Nothing much happening on joint account today, although it does show a £60 credit coming from Scottish power. This was for a missed appointment to change my meters over. Timing wise with all the bits still to pay, means shopping budget healthier!
My joint account has taken a hammering yesterday and available balance now stands at £58.33. I've finished hubby's shopping and bought quite a few things for the kids too.
It's a first buying things without using a credit card and I feel like it's a positive step forward and know this is my real light bulb moment. Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230
