  • Sent £20 sponsorship to a local charity after my friend and kids took part in fundraiser over the weekend.

Yet another cozy day at home for me as in a lot of pain. Have been looking at Black Friday deals and have finished the shopping list of what we've left to buy. Will have to wait until pay day but feeling organised.

    Available balance £214.39
Still have to pay 0% credit card payment £100, vet bill £55 which leaves £59.39. Did have cleaner payment £28 added to this month's budget, but have pushed it to December as due on pay day.

  • Another no spend day despite being desperate for some decent chocolate...not the cheap Aldi stuff on top of kitchen init. Still using up food stocks and they store cupboard and freezer are starting to look less cluttered.

Did have quick sort through the tin cupboard and found the two monster Christmas puddings I bought in Aldi's jan sale for £2 each. We're definitely going to switch down a brand and try to reduce our Christmas food budget on years gone past. We normally have us 4 plus 2parents and I need to remember I'm not feeding the neighbourhood too.

  • Had a horrendous night with pain and didn't sleep much. Up early for more painkillers and now can't get back to sleep. Hubby was at work mega early and he popped into Asda on way in to grab some bits for me. His spend £8.63 on bread, milk, fruit and doughnuts for kids and their friends staying over for tea.

He needs fuel in my car so that'll be another £20 today and he forgot mince so going to ask kids to go to shops when tg

  • Arrrgh why can't I edit posts on my phone? Kids will go to shop later so guess that'll be another £4/5 with bribery chocolate.

    Available balance without fuel £2

  • Available balance without fuel £205.76! Third post lucky

  • Yesterday's spend with the kids was £6.70 and hubby bought fuel but Asda is only showing £1. He didn't get me a receipt so no clue what he put in! Available balance £199.06

My pay from work showing as pending although won't clear for 3/4 days. Was expecting around £300 mark but it's £406 which means I can squirrel the extra away to get us through January and feb when hubby having to repay his over paid claim.

Roll on pay day just hoping we scrap through go hubby's without touching my wages or the overdraft. December a long month and I've still got a few presents to buy!

  • Busy weekend but I've finished all the immediate families Christmas shopping. I've transferred £300 from our EF to do it and as soon as I get paid in few days will transfer it back. It was all budgeted and accounted for, but by buying this weekend I've saved around £75 on all the bits.

I feel like weight lifted and just have handful of things to buy for MIL £20, BIL £15, SMIL £15 and my dad £15. I've not been feeling great so wanted to get it out the way as prepping in case I need an operation.

Roll on pay day as hate using EF, but it's made out money go further with the Black Friday deals. It's not a habit I want to get into but we balanced the options. EF stands at £700.

  • It's pay day! My wages have arrived and I've transferred £290 back into my EF so balance at £990.11

The credit card min payment and extra has been paid too £100.

Hubby and I did our food shop £64.65 which is based on a week of yet more freezer and store cupboard supplies.

I need to sit down and redo our budget for December to shuffle some cash around.

Feeling positive and excited to keep on track.

  • Arrrgh Typed huge post and it's gone!

All payments gone and available balance is £0.49! Hubby was desperate for fuel so had to transfer back from EF to make sure it was covered. Balance now £960.11.

I've got £40 still in my wallet which will cover the £28 to cleaner tomorrow and a few pounds left. This will definitely get us through until hubby pay on last day of month.

Looking at our progress this year and it looks like we've tread water debt wise. On 31/12/17 or debt was £16271.56 and my estimate it'll be £16275 after Decembers payments clear. I can't believe it's within a few pounds after everything we've done.

We've had a lovely holiday in the summer, we've spent a lot of house repairs and seemed to always be paying car bills. I've been on SSP since September and don't think I'll be back to work until End feb earliest.

I do feel gutted it's virtually the same, but happy in the knowledge that without this diary it could have been a lot higher! It's not all bad news though as we now have the EF and I've already started the sealed pot chsllenufir next Xmas With £50+ already stashed.

Roll on pay day to get shopping finished, food budget sorted and ready for a new debt busting year in 2019!

We already know Jan & February extremely tight due to hubby's hr c8ck up, but we'll manage. Hopefully after last payment to work of £275ish goes in March, we'll be back on debt busting.

  • Nothing to update....still 49p available which is a miracle! No overdraft or credit cards here! Roll on pay day.
