No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries January 2018

Welcome to the thread redglitters.
How are the people on the no buy January doing? I haven't bought a single thing and don't need anything at all this month.
I've been as good as gold
No clothes, no toiletries, no accessories and channelling my 'spare' money into overpaying my mortgage. I wonder how long I can keep it up :rotfl:Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0 -
I walked through the Boots 70% sale and bought nothing.
I was seriously tempted by the LE special edition C&P in their shop but resisted as I have already got a pump and 7 minis in the stash.
I did have to use up a BS voucher on my loyalty card earlier in the month but those were no cash spends.
Finally finished a Philosophy microexfoliating facewash which I won't be buying agin due to microbeads.
I'm not trying to enable you in any way but I'm using the LE Rose and Cedrat C&P at the mo and it is lovely. Feels creamier than the original and the fragrance is very subtle. I too have some in stash. Will look to purchase this again once all stash gone.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

pinkfluffybabe - when you see your mortgage balance coming down that should motivate you. I've totally stopped buying unnecessary rubbish and don't miss it at all.
VALM - I had the orange and mint C&P but when I checked the ingredients there was no mention of any natural orange or mint so I it must have all been synthetic so I decided if buying it at all I would stick with the original.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I have received my Mani and Lola box. Contents were 3 x lacquers (China Glaze, Butter London and a brand I can't remember- the colour is a bit meh too (reminds me of Just Lanaiing Around by OPI). The CG one is blue and the BL one is a gorgeous pink reminiscent of OPI Party in my Cabana which I loved. Am going to wear that later. I also got a bottle of OPI Samoan Sand Nail Envy, a Cuccio hand butter, hand mask and nail file.
I have cancelled my subscription though. I love being able to try different brands but don't want to start drowning in the fillers i.e. Hand creams etc. This coupled with the restrictive courier service they used made my decision. The courier needs a signature but only delivers on weekdays. Therefore had to collect from depot where customer service was appalling. Have emailed Mani and Lola to this effect.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I think over time I've tried all the limited edition ones but the Rose one is the only one that impressed me.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. Finally some UU
La Roche Posay Serozinc face mist 150ml- WBA, find this is a nice wet mist if that makes sense and like it when skin on my face is feeling tight plus price is reasonable and there is almost always some offer on :money: but have few other face mists to use up before need to replenish as most have been sitting round in stash for ages and want rid of them
Sanex Dermo moisturising shower gel 500ml - WBA, have more bottles in so will be a while before I need to buy more.0 -
Three INs today:
Tigi Bed Head Dumb Blonde Shampoo 750ml
Tigi Bed Head Dumb Blonde Reconstructor 750ml
Tigi Bed Head Colour Goddess Miracle Treatment Mask 200g
I've been bad and broke my No Buy. Though I am nearing the end of my current shampoo and conditioner so I want to be prepared for when it's empty. And the mask is to hopefully help my slightly damaged hair
But it's my birthday today!
Belated happy birthday greetings, hope that you had a good day. xThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
UU of the day ... Foamburst Unicorn Body Wash. This was a freebie but I will happily pay what it costs. WBA when I need shower gel.
Happy Birthday, Sstevo19!!ally.0
