10/52 - I forced myself to drop off a little bag to the recycling centre as I was in danger of doing nothing at all "waiting" on having more to take. 1 jumper, 1 top and 1 pair of pants to recycling (and a pair of shears returned to their owner).

    Hi fellow declutterers,

    Not posted since 1st March:(

1944 - 1964 Odd socks, torn tea towels & cleaning cloths to Rag Bag - COLLECTED 12/3/18
    1965 - 1970 Plastic bottles & cartons washed & recycled
1971 Food Tin washed & recycled
1972 Packaging from new shoes recycled
    1973 - 1974 Bags of off-cut new carpet, underlay & grippers binned
1975 Bag as above to Tip
1976 - 1995 Broken sofa, broken office chair, old stained mattress, 4 old fence panels, 13 Damaged cushion pads - out of house & on drive for Council Collection (which should have been today :( but they let us down )
1996 - 2003 Small Plastic “minions” to cs
2004 - 2008 Pack of 10 & Pack of 5 All Purpose Cleaning Cloths, Pack of 3 Super Absorbent Cleaning Cloths, Pack of 2 Microfibre Cloths, Father Christmas badge - All to cs

Now the difficult decluttering begins - the understairs cupboard of doom (will need DH to put in some shelves :o), all the drawers & cubby holes in my large wall unit and of course the boxes & crates of Personal & sentimental stuff plus the culling, scanning & album-ing of thousands of photographs:eek: Plus lots of deep cleaning & prepping for decorating:eek: & spending re new bathroom:eek:   & new curtains for whole house. However any new stuff in will be on the basis of one in-one out! I will also be trying to use up my wool stash! & of course I will revisit the areas already decluttered & see if there is scope for improvement :)

So here is to more space which I will try NOT to fill - I keep checking the empty shelf in my kitchen cupboard :j

375-376 two poinsettias which had seen better days. In the past they have barely been alive by Christmas day so have done well. The plants were composted, the compost on the garden and the pots stored for future use in the greenhouse.

I took 2 more bags to the charity shop yesterday. They had a few more kids books, a pair of curtains, an unopened pack of dummies (we never used a dummy with our boy so no idea why we had those) and a couple of hubby's shirts he no longer wants. I reckon I can fill a few more tidy of I put my mind to it.

A bag full of electrical bits to the tip. Some of this I have been hanging onto for years. So the grand total is 19/52.

I am not counting two bags that Mil came with one day. it was all stuff for the allotment and it went straight into the car as soon as I saw it and now is at the allotment. :D
