marmiterules, I hope you didn’t tire out your shredder :rotfl:
villagelife, nice tidy garden? Or still a work in progress?
candygirl, hope the pain eases soon or better yet declutter itself :rotfl:
Happy Kitties, steady progress & nice to earn a bit of money :T & glad you are still decluttering teaI am decluttering peppermint tea at the moment
Rose Crow, congrats re the crutches :T You persevered & now have a desirable result :T I know BHF take small electricals but they are a large CS. Well done on keeping stuff moving out. Any more large pieces of furniture to get shot of :rotfl:
Today was a bright, sunny & warm day but very breezy - a perfect drying day :T So 3 loads washed, dried, folded & put away. However I have half a dozen items to do minor repairs on
As the weather was so nice DH & I continued working in the garden. DH has filled the hole by one side of the shed & started sieving the soil that was dug up to lay the shed base. He also went skip diving for more wood :rotfl: as I have requested that he build me another table top garden bed :TDH & DSis Then removed all the nails, screws etc & stacked in garage :T
DH & DSis went shopping for more compost, some bark & a couple more slabs. Plus bought me two presents - a new watering can - bright red :T & 2 trays of various coloured heathers :T now I just have to decide where to plant them :rotfl:
Whilst they were out I cleaned the kitchen windows inside & out, wiped down all the stainless steel with the appropriate wipes.
Chased the council re my missing Recycling wheelie bin, phoned the bank, sorted some paperwork, wrote the last of the birthday cards for December & January :rotfl: & did a teeny amount of shredding
Re my three mantras: aired & made bed; washed up; worktops washed down; watered plants; general tidying
The garden work & the day to day decluttering generated
C879 - C886 Non recyclable - 4 plastic bags, plastic pot & lid, 3 plastic trays & packaging - binned
C887 - C894 Three tin cans, two milk cartons, glass bottle, 2 tin cans & lids - Rinsed & recycled
C895 Cardboard packaging - recycled
Started my menu plan but no housework doneTomorrow I need to finish my menu plan, post some cards, do a cs drop off & a small shop. If the weather is nice will continue working in the garden.
May your decluttering mojo continue to be strong :rotfl:

Haven’t read the last few updates yet. Just a quick post from me as two things were decluttered yesterday:
RHS 2016 handbook
DVD box set
Thanks for the clutterbug quiz, I’m a cricket, my dad is a Bee, my sister a Butterfly and my Mum another cricket. I live with my boyfriend, must get him to do it too.
Have a good day everyone!0 -
WannaBF I'm a cricket aswell!
*280-284 finally DD has taken a big bag of more towels, food and goodies to her bestie for the charity she volunteers at. So happy, even though for a very good cause it was continually getting moved around the living room and I'm trying to empty it ready for decorating
I am determined to hit 500 by Christmas and hopefully I can keep decluttering bit by bit each day.
MrsSD I still wish I had half of ur OHs energy!!Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I never managed any shredding yesterday but have done some today.
Otherwise I've been to the recycling centre with some cane supports and my abdo exercise thingy that I no longer use and to the cs with the twelve handbags.I am currently doing the ironing, having done the washing this morning.Plan to put the washing away...then maybe sort out the paperwork piled on the sofa.
Happy Tuesday everyone!0 -
It has been one thing after another here so I haven't been posting for a bit.
Had a poorly Cockerel who is now better, bless him. Had funeral to attend with a 6 hour drive away so went the day before and came back the day after. Then was away last week for a short stay in a beautiful Shepherds Hut in the middle of a field in Wilshire. Was a lovely restful/peaceful break which was self sufficient and off grid living at its best. Now I have 2 really old slowing down hens which I am having to keep an extra eye on. One of them hasn't wanted to get out of bed this past 2 days
Anyway I have been doing some decluttering as I have been going along so hadn't stopped completely
Well done everyone on all of your decluttering efforts. There have been some pretty high decluttering numbers/totals flying about I've noticed lately :T
Hugs from me to all those that need one right now (((((HUGS)))))

26 Shorts I kept passing over on holiday - didn’t wear - CS
26/630 - Happy decluttering0 -
Couple more things I sold on eBay posted today - including a dress I picked up from a charity shop 3 sizes too small (I'll slim into it....I didn't!) which I paid £3 for and it sold for £19 - so I'm pretty happy with that!
I also took a bag of food items that have been in my cupboard for ages but I won't eat to the food bank collection point.
Chucked out a broken bra, some grubby old socks and some pj shorts that have definitely seen better days - I have loads of all of these items so I didn't feel the need to keep them, would rather enjoy the good ones I have!0 -

Wanna Bee Free, still cannot work out which one I am :rotfl: steady progress :T
Happy Kitties, isn’t it nice to get assistance :T Ticking along nicely :T. My DH has short bursts of activity where he is very productive :rotfl:
marmiterules, do you find shredding therapeutic? By the way, you have been busy :T
edwink, totals coming along nicely :T Glad to see you keeping track :rotfl: Your break sounds wonderful & happy to hear that your cockerel is recovered
abbe, what a result :T over 500% profithow very MSE of you :money:
Today was an overcast but warm day with a stiff breeze so DSis did her washing & dried outside on the whirligig :T
As the weather was OK - DH & DSis did some work in the garden. They laid the rest of the slabs in front of the shed, sieved 3 trugs full of soil - put round the shed & seeded :T Always started putting down the decorative gravel.
I on the other hand took two full bags of donations to the CS (I had phoned to make sure they were open :rotfl:) Yippee, it was open :T dropped off the stuff & then had a nice chat with John - lots of plans afoot - not only are they trying to start a gardening project but they are also looking into starting a food bank. However, there is so much red tape plus all volunteers have to undergo police checks (which are taking six months or more because the police have such a backlog- What a world we live in - good job the CS staff & organisers are so persistent & keep persevering :T. Spent several hours in the kitchen - Beef & Stilton Pie, mash & cabbage. Well worth the time it took as it was appreciated by DH & DSis
Re my three mantras: aired & made bed; washed up; worktops washed down; watered plants; general tidying
No numbers as I have run out of chargeso will post tomorrow
May your decluttering mojo continue to be strong :rotfl:

My decluttering run has came to an abrupt halt due to illness. Never had labyrinthitus before and hope I never have again. After my breakthrough last week, it’s frustrating and disappointing not to keep going.

I will start with finishing off Tuesday’s adventures & hopefully will not run out of charge :rotfl:
After the cs drop off, I headed off to the sm & decided to do a bit of litter picking on the way. Got to 13 pieces & then the 14th piece almost led me to stop picking up litter ever againThe 14th piece was innocuous enough - a tin can - but (& I hope it wasn’t deliberate) it was on dog poo - disgusting _pale_ I managed to bin the offending tin & then spent nearly 10 minutes in the sm facilities scrubbing my hands  Finally felt clean, did my shopping including enough food/toiletries etc for donation to Whitechapel Mission. Caught the bus home & did persuade myself to pick up 6 more pieces of litter :T I just have to be more careful
Then as stated I spent hours in the kitchen after having scrubbed my hands yet again
Not much decluttering but
C896 - C905 Non recyclable - 4 lots of plastic packaging, 2 small plastic pots, 3 plastic bags - binned
C906 - C909 Three tin cans, plastic bottle - rinsed & recycled
C910 - C911 Paper packaging, cardboard packaging - recycled
Now on to Wednesday
Fiasco, sorry to hear you are ill& I hope you get well soon. You are doing so well :T & hopefully this will only be a little hiccup in your decluttering quest
I have to say I am impressed - 18 bags to the cs :T:T - that alone must have created lots of space
Today was a mixed bag weather wise - overcast, bright & sunny, occasionally chilly but the overriding weather was very strong winds:eek:
DH took his ‘Hardly Worthitson’ to the garage hoping for a quick & cheap repair. Unfortunately the part that needs replacing is expensive & to add insult to injury there is not a single cooling pump in the whole of Europe & the part will have to be ordered from the USofA. The garage will phone when the part is in but will probably be more than a month’s wait  Good news though - he had a full English while they were working out the problem
DSis & I took the hand luggage wheelie case - filled - to Whitechapel Mission - got a good workout as the DLR has removed the lift from Shadwell & the train station at Whitechapel is currently being renovated - so again no lift
Decided to walk from the Mission to Watney Market but I took us in the wrong directionNo prizes for me re navigating skills
:o - but in my own defence the last time I did this particular walk was 7 years ago :rotfl:
Absolutely NO gardening work today:( and no decluttering either except for los from the fridge with lashings of the Stilton infused beef gravy for my dinner & the 2nd Beef & Stilton Pie with mash & green beans for DH & DSis. Plus enough gravy lo for a base for soup or a stew :T
Re my three mantras: aired & made bed; washed up; filled coffee jar; worktops washed down; watered plants; general tidying
C912 - C920 Non recyclable - plastic tray & packaging, 3 lots of plastic packaging, 3 plastic bags, plastic tray, pair of DH’s socks (converted to Catholicism :rotfl:) - binned
C921 - C926 Two plastic bottles, glass bottle, milk carton, 2 tin cans - rinsed & recycled
C927 - C931 Two newspapers, 2 magazines, cardboard packaging - recycled
“Tomorrow is another day” to quote Scarlett :rotfl: so DH & I will be busy in the garden & will hopefully rope in DSis :rotfl:
May your decluttering mojo continue to be strong :rotfl:
