Can`t believe that sorry....i`ve tried 3 different routers,a brand new bt homehub and 3 different pcs!A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

What I can't understand is why you thought that changing your ISP, would make any difference to your pathetic SNR figures!
Anyway it's clear from what you have previously described, that you have done everything that you can to try to reslove your problem so I would suggest an email to ben.verwaayen@bt.com summerising you complaint e.g. "i`ve tried 3 different routers, a brand new bt homehub and 3 different pcs! and changed ISP etc. etc."
Best of luck. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Filters are not needed on every phone socket (only used sockets) and the OP has said that the test socket on the master has been used. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
xX_fozzy_Xx wrote: »thats wrong mate as a filter on every socket is best, especially if you have a coupled inlet from the master inlet for a telephone line, then filter all sockets unlee you have a seperate line in every socket in the house, something that is very rare.
Sorry but you are talking out of your rear end. You seem to be suggesting that I should have eight filters on all sockets, when I actually have one filtering all extensions! Too many filters can cause problems, just like not enough.

As a filter is only used to filter equipment that is plugged into a socket, why do you think it is necessary to have filters in sockets that are unused?0 -
No you are talking crap, if you look at your diagram it shows filters connected to sockets that have equipment plugged into them which is what espresso said, if you read the paragraph above your diagram, the operative words are 'where equipment is connected'Here a microfilter is used for each telephone socket where equipment is connected.
It is completely unnecessary to have filters in unused sockets.0 -
You only need filters on sockets with equipement connected to it, if the socket has nothing connected to it then you don't need a filter. The filter is there to filter if nothing is connected to the socket then it does nothing.Bug? That's not a bug, that's an undocumented feature. :dance:0

Interestingly the test associated with the 3rd diagram states "The simplest configuration is shown in the following picture" which suits someone like you and your stupid mate down to the ground - keep it simple stupid.
Please ignore this troll.

if u have a socket and just even a phone inserted its best to filter it anybody worth their salt knows that
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I am reading what you saidthats wrong mate as a filter on every socket is best
Everyone else here is pointing out to you that filters are only needed in sockets which have equipment plugged into them, but apparently you choose either not to believe us or prove your ignorance by insulting people with a load of abuse, for which you have been reported to the forum administrators.0
