Todays event was another learning curve for me - it was in an horse riding centre, so basically an old converted barn with sand all over the floor and no heating  Luckily I'd taken lots of layers just in case but it was so cold!!

I have a couple of display stands, one of which is a rotating spinner stand. Things don't seem to sell that well from there so I decided not to take it today and instead just displayed the Christmas cards on the table, this seemed to work better for that stock :)

The event went fairly well, sold quite a few packs of Christmas cards and got another couple of people signed up for my customer club. Two more events now to go this year for me :D

Home now, dinner is on, the place is relatively tidy and will just have to do for this weekend. Hot water is on so I can defrost in the bath ;)

So today I have had a reply from quidco for a payout I've been waiting ages for, and they've agreed to pay up, so I have finally reached my yearly goal for my brothers fund :j :j :j

I'm super happy about this, that means this month I can relax a little, and start thinking ahead to plans for next year :D

Tonight ds and I are off to the football, I will need to wrap up warm as it's freezing out there tonight. Hopefully a win and that would round off a good day for me :D

Ahh, finally the weekend is here :D

It has been a monumentally mad week at school, with a Christmas market last night to keep me even busier. It went okay, one more to go next weekend and that's me done with events for this year.

So this weekend ds is at home, we're spending it doing housework, putting up the Christmas decorations and some Christmas shopping. Chuck in a bit of food shopping, ironing and all the usual excitement ;)

So do you think it has been worth your while doing the Christmas fairs?

Yes definitely - more as a learning curve than anything, I've figured out lots about how to display stuff, how to sell, how other stallholders do their stalls etc. I have signed up people for Customer Club, I have learnt which events not to bother with again and which are good ones, which positions are good within the room for a stall ... then there's figuring out which products are the most popular ... I still have a lot of money to recoup, in fact I haven't really even made a dent yet, but I have so much more stock than in the early days. I am loving thinking about my goals for next year with it and how I can grow it.

I knew it wouldn't be an overnight thing, most small businesses take at least a couple of years to return a profit, so I am happy with that. For me it has also given me a different thing to focus on, meet new people and have some me time. I love it :D:D

Well last night I fell asleep just after 8.30.pm and I woke up at 8.45 this morning, absolutely unheard of for me to sleep that much, I feel sooo much better for it today :D:D

So the plan now is an hour or two of housework, then sit down to watch the footie, we're on Sky at lunchtime today. This afternoon will be spent putting up decorations then going into town tonight to see the lights :xmassmile:xmassmile
