Hmm, so I've tried to check the banking this morning and I seem to have £950 left for this month  Now while that sounds fabulous I also know it's utter nonsense as it's more than I started with on payday :rotfl: So, I have done the food shopping instead and will try again with that later
One load of washing is out, another load is in the machine. I did email someone about a stall at a charity fair and they replied this morning to say I can have a stall (£10) but I can't sell any cards as her Mum makes them,so can I just bring advent calendars and tissue paper  Err no thanks
Ds is home in a couple of hours so I might potter in the garden for a bit this morning as the sun is out.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

What lovely weather today! I've spent some time in the garden and have tidied up a bit, still more to do but it's a start. I've also had a rummage in the garage and managed to get 11 bits listed on ebay. None of it is worth anything really, it's all 99p items that may well end up at the tip, but at least I'm giving them a try to earn a few pennies first
I need to go back and look at the banking situation again, I can't see where I've gone wrong but clearly something doesn't add up properly somewhereMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Off in a minute to my Mums old peoples club - I'm not expecting anything from it, it hasn't cost me anything so I'm just going to go along with a few brochures, a basket with some cards in and see if anyone is interested. Chances are I won't get any sales but it's only going to cost me an hour or two out of my day, so it's worth a shot
Other than that I have got another load of washing done, listed a couple more items on ebay, cleaned the conservatory and spoken to the CSA again and informed them that he hasn't paid the arrears. The lady I spoke to said I could give him a few more days, I said history has shown me that would be rather pointless, so she agreed to change it over to collect and pay. This means that I will have to pay £25 a month (he will have to pay £100) and he will still have to pay the full amount too. He had told them that he has ds 59 nights a year. This was broken down to 1 week in August and 2 nights a fortnight. I have told them that no, he has one week in August and one night a fortnight - ds leaves here on a Saturday morning and is home after lunch on Sunday. My Maths make this 33 nights a year (1 night x 26 weekends, 7 nights in August). This is probably being over generous as there are weekends he cancels / ds goes to his parents instead etc, but still it's nowhere near 59. Having checked the paperwork I can see that when it's 52+ nights a year he would get a reduction in what he has to pay ... He has been told he has to provide evidence that he has him that many nights. I have said I can send in his train tickets to prove when he's travelling, get his employer to write to confirm he works til 6pm on fridays and therefore couldn't get to his Dads anyway (150 miles) ... we'll see  :cool:Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Hi
I'm new to your thread, read most of it and followed your Swagbuck link. What is the best way to do it? I seem to be stuck in the watching videos thing!new challenge?£1 a day for Christmas 2024 £367 / £366 ~Got married 24/05/19 ~ Credit CardDFW Nerd #1155 ~LBM 25/2/09 ~ Debt at highest £8,037.35 ~ £00 -
Hello KD
I must admit my swagbucking has not been happening for a couple of months as my time has been taken up with my cards. Having said that it is a great way to make money and with xmas coming up I really need to get back to it to earn some more pennies.
Firstly I would say you need to join a facebook group as they put daily hints and tips on there to help you earn extra points, let you know about offers etc. The one i use is GPT Genies. They also have their own blog which is brilliant for swagbucks - https://www.gptgenies.com
There are loads of bits on there to help you reach your targets. I always aimed for my first daily goal, that way you get a monthly bonus too. If I had extra time I would keep going but that was my daily minimum.
Then I would try and complete my daily to do list, some of them are really easy (search etc) and I would always try and complete one survey a day, I found early morning was the best time for this as there tended to be lots available.
Every couple of weeks they do a Swago board, these were great for extra points - its a bit like a bingo board that you have to do different activities to cross the squares off - some are clicking through to retailers websites, some were for completing your to do list etc. These give you 'spin and win' points too, which is like the old "Price is Right" wheel, that you spin and win different things. Usually you win sweepstakes into a draw (never heard of anyone winning the draw though )but sometimes you win 3 sb's, once I won 2500 sb's
You can download some video apps onto your phone and leave them playing, this earns you points too. There are lots of different ways like this to earn a few more each day, it's about getting into a routine with it, and on the blog there are tonnes of ideas and help for getting to your daily goal.
In fact you've inspired me now to go and get back to it, see you over thereMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
